We enjoy walking and staying in Cernobbio was very relaxing and charming. The restaurants were plentiful, with many available outside seating. The lake is beautiful and serene, and we enjoyed a ferry ride around parts of the lake. The wind was troubling on the day of the wedding ie. glasses whisked off their tables, music, and camera blown over)...We stayed 4 nights and would certainly return to Cernobbio in the future! The C-10 bus at 2:30 and 3:30 pm were over-packed. I would not try this again.

Cernobbio is quite small, in that the centre is very compact...
Cernobbio is quite small, in that the centre is very compact (easy to get around!). We travelled to Como (from Bergamo apt via Monza on public transport) and the bus and ferry options make for easy local transport. Friendly place, NO sense of getting ripped-off as a tourist and good options (for all palates) for cafes, restaurants and bars. Ideal touring base if you don't need the hustle and bustle of a larger town - and if you do then stay in Como and do Cernobbio for the day. Small = friendly and the locals were very helpful and wanted to serve us well. Last weekend was the Villa d'Este (and also at Villa Erba) concours of elegance, so if you're a (classic) car nut then it is a 'must-do'!MarkUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Would recommend this location if you want a nice small-town...
Would recommend this location if you want a nice small-town atmosphere from with amazing views from where you can visit all other towns on Lake Como. If travelling off season be aware that ferry times are different. There was a 2-3 hour waiting time to catch a ferry to Bellagio. I found Bellagio nice but 1 day was more than enough to visit and none of the hotels would have had the view as the one from Cernobbio. Found Villa del Balbianello in Tremezzo was the best from the other couple we visited.

Very clean no litter noticeable. The Lake was very clean. There were people (women and children included) swimming in the lake. Cernobbio is beautiful, quaint and no hustle or bustle. It was easy to take the 'lake boat taxi bus?' to other parts of the lake. Fortunately for us the weather was hot during our stay. There was a rain shower one evening and night but was dry during the day. The food was priced high but that was expected. The food was generally very good. Absolutely recommend restaurant 'Il Gatto Nero' (a George Clooney favourite we were told). Also for the best Pizzas Albergo GIARDINO Ristorante Pizzeria. You wont go wrong there. Both are in Cernobbio. The streets are narrow and full of character. It's a beautiful romantic place.

Perfect location: quiet, nice, multiple restaurants, ferries go every 10-15 minutes. Very close to Como (city). Comparing to Moltrasio, Chernobbio is larger and more filled with attraction points where to spend time. The embankment close to ferry gate is very nice.

Greatly appreciate the availability of parking for free. Communication with the facility was good and uncomplicated. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. In response to the picture in the bathroom, I found it to be sexy and provocative; My 7-year-old son didn’t even notice it. There is a local restaurant directly across the street (food and pizza was delicious), a grocery store on the other street, a bakery cafe about a quarter mile and numerous other pizza and restaurant locations within walking distance. Apt is also close to the lake area where you can take the ferry to other areas of lake Como. Apt was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
