Slightly older building, but fresh decor. Nice continental breakfast.
Good location, a fairly direct 10-15mins walk from railway station. A taxi is 15euro, but takes a long route to get to same place.
We were just breaking our train journey, so only one night. It was perfect for this...
There are a few restaurants un the area, fair price, but nothing cheap.

We like very much the city of Alessandria.
We like very much the city of Alessandria. There are many things around to visit and we will be coming back. Alessandria has many small restaurants, good book stores and people are very friendly. It's easy to get around and the atmosfere of the city is really nice. I particulary like the architecture of the city and we always stop to have coffy or to eat. It's wonderful to come back.

There are many spots in the city you can visit by foot...
There are many spots in the city you can visit by foot avoiding the heat wave after lunch time. If you like the culture, there are a couple of museums in the centre (the museum about Borsalino can be an option). In case you prefer to visit a church, there are many to choose or a historical site like the citadella (for free, but needs work of conservation). Inside the citadella, there is a free entrance museum about the weapons and uniforms used by the Italian army and well explained and detailed information about it (only in Italian). For lunch and dinner, any option in the centre should be good.angeldrm2Spain

The host is wonderful and speaks excellent English. The room is very large and quite comfortable with a queen size bed and lots of space, cabinets and a large table. Everything is very clean and fresh. A very enjoyable room. The Wi-Fi is very fast and reliable and the breakfast was delicious with fresh baked croissants, wonderful coffee along with many other selections. I would certainly enjoy staying here again.

I would say the price for this room during the peak of the Easter holiday was competitive. If you could drive an hour away from Milan or Genova (if those are your travel destinations), it is better to spend it in this hotel than some expensive but bad hotels in the main cities of Milan or Genova. There are also some nice restaurants for you to discover in and around Alessandria.

Recently renovated, rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is varied, with a good selection of continental food. Staff is kind, available and ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We walked to the city centre is 5 minutes and to the stadium in less than 10 min. Fitness center and swimming pools are not part of the hotel amenities, so you’ll need to pay to use them. I do not find fair that those are mentioned in booking

Because of some problems she had, she could not host us but she booked us a hotel and made our life super easy. With all the stuff she had on her hands, she still explained how Italy works with the parking and city tax and was generally very nice!
