The Lady in reception was outstanding. She explained everything about the room , gave us a map with suggestions of things to do and restaurant reception
Also our ceiling fan was not working and it was hot . While we were out she sent me a message and put a fan in our room. We were so grateful.

Giovanni was an amazing host. A very friendly and helpful person. The property is tucked away nicely in Monterosso old town with a balcony terrace that feels like a very quiet and calming oasis away from the busier Main Street below. We used this for breakfast, and also in the afternoon to relax. We’d stay again without a doubt.

Beautiful place very good for reaching all the other cinque terra villages. Has a lovely beach front and a charming old town. Excellent train connection and reasonable boat trips too. Perfect holiday destination whatever you want to do. Walk the trails, lie on the beach. Visit local area by train and you certainly must try the ice cream in each town you visit.

It is a lovely town and a great place to stay if you want to explore Cinque Terre. You can combine a hiking/cycling holiday with a beach holiday. The train service is excellent and if you don't want to hike you can explore all 5 towns by train.
Monterosso itself has pleny to see apart from beaches and the restaurants are excelelnt, especially if you like seafood.

This was the best of our accommodations during our 2 week stay in Italy. Marta was amazing and provides shuttles and a good breakfast of granola, yogurt, fruit, pastries and even eggs, pancakes and cappuccino. The views were amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. I prefer a softer bed than what was in the room. However the pillows and linen were soft and comfortable.
Marta goes above and beyond what is necessary and always greeted us with a smile
I would definitely stay here again.
The b and b is up on a hill and a shuttle is provided but we walked back and forth without difficulty into the main part of town.

Attractive village, but split into two by headland (tunnel links the two). All amenities, but slightly spread out. Good (but when we visited, busy) train links to other Cinque Terre villages. Also boat links if weather ok. We found it an ideal base for exploring Cinque Terre, including walking the SVA (Blue Path), albeit walking is challenging. Scenery to die for.

The hotel is really lovely and the views are unparalleled! Amazing views over the beach and Cinque Terre. The staff were very helpful and even helped us reserve a table at a restaurant. The garden area with chairs and loungers overlooking the view is gorgeous and a perfect place to enjoy an Aperol from the bar whilst waiting for the shuttle or after you've returned home in the evening. The shuttle bus service is so easy to use and always on time - you just have to be a little more organized than you usually would!
Throughout our vacation in Italy, we had the opportunity to stay at various hotels in Rome, Florence, and Sorrento. However, Hotel Margherita stood out as the ultimate choice in every aspect. The service desk was exceptionally helpful, the breakfast quality and organization were top-notch, and the rooms, along with their spacious bathrooms, left us thoroughly impressed. Undoubtedly, Hotel Margherita was the highlight of our Italian getaway, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.
Santuario NS Soviore is a quiet, serene oasis away from the mobs of tourists in Cinque Terre. The rooms are basic but functional. The grounds are lovely and the views of Monterosso and the Ligurian Sea are breathtaking.
I highly recommend having dinner at their restaurant. The food is delicious and reasonable priced. Be sure to make a reservation when you check-in. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel has a small bar/snack shop where you can purchase cappuccino, beer, wine, sandwich, etc.
The breakfast was outstanding! Hot made to order omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles. The breakfast wait staff, a young man, was exceptional. The breakfast cooks were so responsive and fast with preparing all orders. The outdoor breakfast area amongst lemon trees was beautiful. The hotel is in old town Monterosso which is the least hilly of the 5 villages so rolling our luggage from the train station to hotel was not a major undertaking. The hotel also has a small elevator.
Lovely hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast including plenty of fresh fruit and pastries, with a terrace overlooking the hotel's attractive gardens and a view over the bay. Easy to walk to Monterosso station in 5-10 minutes and another 10 minutes along the seafront to the old part of town with more shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a balcony with a view of the sea.
Hotel Souvenir was the perfect location from which to enjoy Cinque Terre. About 10-15 minutes walk from the train, very easy access. It is just off the main road and the rooms are very quiet. Rooms were very nice and very clean. We were a large group with young kids and it was nice to have a large patio to to take a break outside, or to enjoy the delicious breakfast. Nice touch: they offer free beach day towels.
We are glad we stayed in Monterosso, our stay was in April so not crazy busy with tourists. There are more choices of restaurants here. The hotel breakfast was very good choice of bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, cakes, pastries, toast, fruit salad etc. We did book the smaller room which was fine, but if you are staying longer recommend booking a larger room. Staff very welcoming. Hotel central.
Location, setting, attention to detail.
We decided to stay overnight in Monterosso and took potluck on a hotel near the sea.
Hotel la Colonnina is an amazing oasis.
Our room was a tastefully decorated, spacious large double bedroom.
Each room has a semi private sun terrace and a roof garden which is ideal when the 5 min walk to the beach is too much like hard work! ;o)
Perfect base for exploring Monterosso, as well as Cinque Terre on the whole. Less than a 5minute walk from the beach, there were plenty of restaurants near the hotel and an ideal playground within a 5 minute walk for our son to enjoy. Anyone who has kids, we would recommend this hotel.
Staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet selection was fantastic.
Monterosso is probably one of the most beautiful places I have been to. The hotel is centrally located. We were there in June, very busy, beautiful weather, but in the evening the crowds ease up, the bar next to the hotel is brilliant as was the restaurant next door. Just a beautiful part of the Italy and the world. Would highly highly recommend.
The staff was extra friendly and helpful. In our case they helped us to get doctor.
Eventhough the hotel is not directly situated in Monterosso, the shuttle bus is definitely worth and makes the situation better.
Rooms were clear, nice designed and cleaning service was available everyday ( If there was a need...)
located in a brilliant part of Monterosso, a short 10 minute walk from the train station and you arrive at the hotel. Owner couldn’t have been better as I arrived fairly late around 8:30-9pm and he waited for me to arrive. The personal touches make the difference that a lot of chain hotels don’t have!
This is a lovely hotel, and the staff works hard to add extra touches. We were welcomed in their lovely courtyard with refreshments upon arrival. The hotel is extremely clean and decorated beautifully. It was the best place we stayed in Italy. Breakfast was great!
Though it's walking distance to Monterosso the hotel is a welcome break from the tourist crowd. It is an incredible experience for nature lovers and anyone who loves peace, quiet and hiking. We absolutely loved it! Delightful views, delicious homemade breakfast.
Right on the beach with great views and many restaurants at the doorstep. It was a great place to base ourselves for the Cinque Terre walks. Checkin was a little complicated - needing to find a hotel uo the hill where checkin is done.
Beautiful hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff! Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone looking for a stay in one of the Cinque Terre towns! Perfect location and easy access to the other towns by train.
A lovely hotel in the centre of Monterosso, great location for everything. It also has a lovely garden terrace where you can relax. Breakfast very nice with everything you need. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great location right on the beach. They have their own set of tables on the boardwalk and beach area. Breakfast was very nice and staff was very friendly and helpful.
By far the rental apartment that had more space compared to other apartment or hotels we have been to during our vacation in Italy.
10feet to small grocery store.
