We are on a two week tour of Lake Como, staying at out 4th hotel, and Loveno was the best. The hike up the hill is well worth it! The breakfasts were perfect, room size was excellent and the staff remarkable. Views are truly amazing.

The hotel owners ( Sam and his's mummy)themselves are very hospitality, they personally served their guests. They listened to your needs and tried to make you feel at home.Their staff are great too. We unknowingly thought that the hotel was on the ground level of a 15mins walk but we later learned from the local is a curvy hilly road to the hotel. From their conversation every one seem to know each other and one of the resturant owner's wife saw us with the 2 bigs luggages and she helped to called the hotel and next mins someone pick us up and to our surprise it was Sam's mun which we learnt later that they were waiting to pick us to their hotel.
The room was clean with newly renovated toilet and best of all was the spacious bacony facing the lake view.
Wooden bed furnitures were a bit dated but all are in good condition. Good spread of breakfast and delicious list of menu for dinner and if i am not wrong is prepared by their wonderful chef which we enjoyed his meals very much comparing to those we had eaten at some of the known restaurant.
Menaggio leaves us with alot of very good & memoy and also not forgetting the nice locals we have had met over our 4 days trip there. We strongly recommend this hotel if you are in Menaggio. We will surely come back again in the future when the weather is good to use the renewly renovated pool. Thank you Sam and your mummy( so sorry! I forgotten her name )

Well, words can't describe this place! It's an amazing property. We had the entire penthouse for all by ourselves and the view from the property is magnificent facing lake Como. The hots Darin was in touch from the beginning to ensure we are checked in safely and on time. Adele who is in charge of our check-in, was on time and explained well about the property. It's full with latest technology and complete kitchenet. It's a pity that we just had 1 night here but this would have been an amazing stay for more than 2 nights and as well as with a group. No worries about not having breakfast since you have all the tools needed to cook yourself a quick breakfast. Again, I'm so amazed with the place and just have no words to describe more. It was also easy to get to the ferry terminal to cross over to Belaggio and explore the place. So all awesome and I'm sure you would need a car to enjoy to the max. Free parking is available, so all good.

Mennagio was a lovely little town with fab links to Varenna and Bellagio (we day-tripped). Hired a boat from AC boats which I recommend as it was decently priced :) Cafe del Pas in the square does the best aperol spritz’s! We found food and drink to be very decently priced (e.g. could get a pizza for €10 and a glass of wine for €5), especially compared to the nearby more famous villages

Menaggio is a beautiful town and we loved that is was much quieter than Bellagio which is over run with tourists.
We went swimming in the lake at the local beach, enjoyed walks up into the hills behind the town and walks along the promenade.
There are lots of places to eat out or enjoy an Aperitif, but we also enjoyed making a picnic and eating lakeside.
You can easily catch a ferry to visit other towns or hire a boat and go on your own adventure.
We caught the ferry from Como. The fast ferry is not always easy to get a ticket for and the slow ferry takes over 2 hours. We later realised we could have caught the train to Varenna from Milan and then caught a quick ferry to Menaggio.

Menaggio is stunning and very clean.
Menaggio is stunning and very clean. Our accommodation was in an excellent, comfortable apartment with all the facilities you need as a traveller - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfortable beds and walk in shower. It was next to the ferry terminal so we could hop on a ferry to different parts of Lake Como. Our apartment was on the flat area in Menaggio, close to the centre, restaurants and supermarkets, making it easy to get to places. There is a reasonable local bus service to that we used to go to other villages and markets. Taxis are not great or easy to get and for much of the accommodation there you need to be prepared for some steep walks up and down each day.

Menaggio was very peaceful and quiet yet we had great restaurants to choose for dinner. Easy ferry rides over to Varenna and Bellagio during the day. We hired a private boat one day and did a private e-bike tour another day. So much fun and beauty

Menaggio is a beautiful town, about midway up Lake Como, in one of the best regions. An easy town to navigate without too many steep levels with plenty of excellent restaurants and cafes. Not too many retail shops, and a good selection of nice hotels. The ferry connects to other towns around the lake.
This B&B ended up being the best place stayed we stayed during our vacation in Italy. I cannot say enough good things about both of the owners. There were two of the nicest individuals we have ever met during our travels. The building is new, the view is amazing and the location is far enough from the center to enjoy a quiet night. Also, they own a boat rental business! It was a spontaneous decision to rent a boat during our stay, but I am glad I did because my girlfriend and I had a blast. Gabriele was also super helpful and nice.
The location is amazing! It is a 5 minute walk to the ferry terminal and less than 10 minutes walk to the main square! The view is incredible and you can walk directly across the road and down some steps to swim in the lake. The restaurant is very good and very cheap with a spectacular view! Easy 15 minute ferry ride to Varenna and 20 to Belaggio. For location and view, this is the best value for money I have found in Italy so far. I wish I had been able to stay longer.
The view from our room ,overlooking Lake Como, was breathtaking. Located directly on the lakeside so no traffic noise to disturb the tranquility. The bedroom and bathroom were fairly small but were clean and functional.....
The hotel restaurant which had a lakeside terrace was wonderful.....and the hotel pool was great to use at the end of a day of sightseeing-especially when using the sun loungers with the amazing view across to Bellagio and the distant shores.
This was a last minute reservation due to a bad experience at an Airbnb of the other side of Lake Como. We were SO THRILLED with this flat in Menaggio. The host was so accommodating of our needs for superior Wifi, a location close to restaurants and sightseeing, etc. We loved everything about this place and would not hesitate for a second to book it again should we return to Lake Como. Book this place, you will be so happy you did!
This hotel is grand all right but grand as in was great 40 years ago and hasn’t been updated since! The extremely tired decor just feels grubby. We had the worst meal of our life in the restaurant downstairs with several waiters, being extremely over attentive, standing right next to our table, staring at us the entire meal. The food was as bad as you can imagine a tired old hotel would serve.
As mentioned in the title, the view from the balcony is so scenic that this is where I planned and successfully got engaged to my partner.
No contact upon check-in and check-out, and Giorgia was truly such an honest and knowledgeable host. Love the complimentary coffee and tea. The air-conditioned unit was a godsend during summers in Lake Como!
The hotel is beautifully set in the hillside just about Menaggio, about a 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive down into town. The property is beautifully maintained and has a beautiful pool. The staff were all so kind and helpful and even set up breakfast early for us as we needed to leave very early to catch our flight out.
A great place in front of the Como Lake. The staff was friendly and willing to help all the time. The room was cozy and with a nice and relaxing view of the lake. Although it is a bit far from Menaggio (around 15 mins walking) it is close enough to the groceries and great restaurants.
Very nice, flexible and hostile Host. The Host gives great advice on how to spend a day at the lake Como.
Fully equipped kitchen.
Great Location (about 5 min walk to the center and the coast of Menaggio)
Theres a parking spot next to the apartment where you can safely park your car.
This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The views over Lake Como are wonderful and the pool is superb (if a still a little cold in May !) We had dinner once which was lovely but quite heavy Northern Italian food.
The gardens are well tended and there is secure parking.
Simply great. The open kitchen and living room is amazing, fully equipped with all you need. The bbq and the area near it is really good. Also the views are beautiful, with the mountains and the lake como in the back.
Eva was a very good host. Very kind and helpful.
Beautifully newly renovated small hotel. beautiful modern rooms with exceptional Bathrooms with amazing stone work and great high quality fixtures , nice pool area,
great gym, very warm and attentive staff. Menaggio is a nice little town

The view from the balcony is amazing. The host is very friendly and helpful. Takes time to give tips about what man can do in Menaggio as well as in other towns around Lake Como. I am certainly going back again.
Property was clean. Very nice staff. Best breakfast we had in Italy. Room was nicely cooled by the building itself. Walking distance to the very nice city center. Nice swimming pool, although the water was cold.
Fabulous accommodation in a period property with fantastic uninterrupted views across Lake Como. The owner and host couldn’t be more helpful and everything was just right.
It was a very nice stay! We really got a rest near Lake Como :) a very peaceful place, I will recommend it to everybody, who would like to visit this beautiful region.
