The location of the hotel met our expectations, great view over the river and bridge. Easy walking distance to the town centre and market. Friendly staff let us check in a bit earlier as our room was ready. Free outdoor parking. Room and bathroom spotless. We did not have the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Great location on the river and only 5 mins across the bridge into the centre of Cahors. Nice buffet breakfast in their large river room. Easy free car parking for any size car directly outside. Large riverside room with lovely views over the peaceful river across to Cahors from the balcony.

The hotel is an exceptional example of an early 20th century railway-adjacent grand hotel which has maintained many original art nouveau period features. It is still run by descendants of the original owners, and the staff are clearly proud of the hotel and are very obliging and welcoming. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the grand dining room. Our large, sunny room was also of the period, renovated to provide modern conveniences. We were able to park for free on street, outside our bedroom window.

Budget Ibis was chosen as it is next door to the standard hotel and was significantly cheaper. Not central but until 1900 there is free public transport into Cahors from outside the hotel. Plenty of car parking. Excellent bakery and coffee shop next door and another over the road. Fast food available very close by. Easy access to major roads to explore the area and the valley.
