The Pashmina is absolutely excellent. It is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. We had a deluxe XXL room with 2 bedrooms and a central lounge, which worked wonderfully for our family. We also had our own harman, which was a hit after a day's skiing.

It’s a perfect ski resort.
It’s a perfect ski resort. Great for skiing and a great night life and food. We particularly enjoyed meeting our friends most days at the Igloo de Val Thorens . The actual igloo is a must see and very friendly English people who speak French. The perfect place for light lunch or just a drink with a great view of the slopes
We loved getting the piste basher in the evening which took us to a restaurant on the slopes
Chalet du lac With a set menu
You need to book in advance asap
Tango is great for a sit down meal or a relaxing pizza with friends on the sofas .
Johns is a great restaurant, you must book as it’s Tinnie and always busy
We did try quite a few restaurants and all the food was great

A ski resort that caters to both experienced and inexperienced skiers (such as myself). The ESF (Ecole du Ski Français) has very experienced and professional instructors. The sheer number of pistes and the pristine conditions are a sight to behold. There are numerous options for après-ski, catering to all tastes and budgets while maintaining an excellent atmosphere. Val Thorens makes you feel secure and at ease.

Most (if not all) of the hotel (Le Val Chaviere) rooms have view to mountains and ski sloaps.
Access to ski area and lifts is literally direct as you exit the hotel ski room you put on skiis and go directly to lifts and cable cars.
Hotel is very close to city center (5min walking distance).
The ski resort is immense with many options of activities for non skiers - sled and/or tube tracks, zip line (need to see age and security restrictions).
A good option is also the sports center with many indoor activities including swimming pool, sauna and relaxing wellness options.
City has plenty of restaurants and small supermarkets.
Some of the mountain tops are accessible for
Pedestrians - so you can enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Val Thorens is a very busy resort.
Val Thorens is a very busy resort. There are a lot of beginners and Uni students, making it a popular resort. The slopes closer to the bottom are very busy as a result. But skiing over to Meribel and Courcheval is so easy and is quite a bit quieter.

As any regular skier or snowboarder will know, Val Thorens is one of the highest resorts in the Alps as it's located at 2,300m and therefore a reliable destination if you're looking for snow. It has lots of energy as it's frequented by younger skiers and is good value for money!

Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up...
Excellent skiing town with a lot of lifts taking skiers up the mountain quickly. It is at a higher elevation comparing to other neighboring skiing towns in Les 3 Valles. It yielded less icy spots on the trails even though we did not have new snow during our stays of 7 days.
We ate at an on-mountain restaurant at the base of VT21 and VT23 lifts. It has sit-down foods or self-service foods. The foods were great, and the ambient was very nice.
There are free in-town shuttles running every 20 minutes. It is very convenient if you need to go from one end of the town to another end. Otherwise it is not difficult to walk. There are many shops and restaurants in the town. Very convenient.
We had a brilliant stay at Hotel Tango between Christmas and New Year. Rooms were very spacious and comfy with a great view over the slopes.
Breakfast was great every morning, cheapest in the area too!
New Year’s Eve dinner was fabulous, best food we had all week.
Atmosphere in the hotel was everything we wanted! Great apres ski crowd and comfy seats to relax in front of fire.
Hotel staff were so friendly!
The hotel is beautifully designed, The team is wonderful, efficient, pleasant and thoughtful
Very convenient ski in & out and the equipment in the shop was of good quality.
Pauline, with whom we corresponded prior to our arrival was very helpful and helped us secure restaurants, She had excellent tips.
It was also great to be able to schedule massage at the spa in the last minute. Both masseures were very good!
Good location (100m from pistes).
Very good price considering it’s 4 stars in the centre of Val Thorens!
Good continental and cooked breakfasts.
Restaurant looked very nice but a bit fancy, especially when you’re looking for a big carb dinner before a competition. Plenty of other choices nearby though.
Secure ski lockers downstairs and a communal heated boot room by the lobby!
Perfect location with ski-in ski-out; great facilities within the property: grocery store, ski rental, restaurant.
Apartment is clean, updated, and modern, a kitchen well equipped with all necessities: coffee maker, toaster, microwave, full size refrigerator, oven Beds are comfortable and washer and dryer was useful to dry after a day on the slopes.
highly recommend it
Service by the staff and range of food options for breakfast were excellent.
The courtesy minibus is a great benefit, and was most helpful for us, as my wife has mobility limitations.
Our room was spacious and comfortable.
This is a genuine ski-in/ski-out hotel, and is brilliantly located relative to lifts for all but beginners at the end of the day.
The resort is so large that unless you are there for a substantial stay its very unlikely you'll have skied it all by the time you leave. With Val Thorens being the highest resort in the 3 Valleys the snow was better there, and also the level of traffic on the slopes was less due to it being more challenging to get there. Ideal for early season skiing.
The location is excellent, you are literally in the center of town, just meters from the ski shop, supermarket, slopes etc. The value for money is superb, couldn't of found a cheaper place to stay and the apartment was clean with a fully operational kitchen. There's also 5G signal in the area, so phones worked fine.
Gorgeous views out the window to the slopes, fabulous kitchen with all the utensils and we cooked most nights. Easy ski in and out of with locker room, super easy to store skis etc. Great location to all facilities in Val Thorens, and literally minutes walk from bus station. Would definitely go back and stay again.
Location was good. right by the supermarket, perfect for dinner after skiing all day. property is cheap and very basic. so you get what is expected. dont have high expectations if you are paying low rental. everything works ok and you can ski , sleep and eat.
Perfect location, only a 3 minute walk to the supermarket, bars and restaurants. Loved that the hotel was ski in & ski out. Staff were so lovely and helpful, breakfast was so tasty. The spa was great after a long day of skiing.
Cheap accommodation in the centre of Val Thorens with direct access to the slopes. Well equipped rooms with everything needed to make a simple meal. We had a great view of the piste from our balcony.
The location was very conveniently close to the ski shops, grocery stores, and the ski pistes. The apartment was very well equipped and even had a dishwasher, and a fondue pot.
The staff was amazing, I was expecting a bit more of luxury but the ski town is laidback and the hotel kinda matches the vibe. Our room had an amazing view to the resort.
