Terrible experience. Glass and construction items everywhere. No warning given at booking. Furniture in entry way of property. Room was dirty and dated. Graffiti, food stains on pull out and bathroom had urine. Totally a rip off for $480 a night

I grew up going on family vacations to Pismo Beach so I am biased. Probably the best kept secret of the California coast. Beautiful wide beaches, great restaurants, wine country a 10 minute drive from the beach and lots of other cute little coastal towns to explore for a day trip. You could spend all week laying on the beach or going someplace new every day. And nothing beats a Pismo Sunset!

Pismo Beach was nice, but the Edgewater hotel was too crowded, the parking was really crammed, and the area looked a little scary. I thought it would be nicer. The bed was very lumpy and lopsided and uncomfortable.
If things go wrong and you don’t arrive early enough and miss most of your first night, don’t expect any niceness from the hotel staff and getting a late check out like you would at other hotels. They do not care!

North Pismo Beach, including Shell Beach Cove area, and Avila Beach (just north of Pismo) are very nice for walking and sightseeing. Avila Beach has a very long interesting history. Downtown Pismo traffic was bad and the old town area might seem "funky" classic beach to some.

Love the beach and pier, small downtown with shops, easy access from highway.
It's also 10-15 minutes from Avila Beach, Madonna Inn, and San Luis Obispo. It's 50 minutes from Solvang. Paso Robles (with Sensorio) are also pretty close. Morro Bay and Montana de Oro park with cool hikes are around 40 minutes away. It's just a great location to get some beach views and explore the area.

This is a charming little town with lots of shops and restaurants right at the beach. I'd say that there's enough to do downtown in one day, and then another day you can explore explore nearby. a weekend is perfect.
Because we stayed at the Pismo Beach hotel. We would go out how breakfast at the cafe. Right next door walk around and look at the shops. Go to the beach, call my quebec to the hotel rest and then go back out to try one of the restaurants..

Newly renovated. It was an absolutely amazing Hotel for the value. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least! The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable! We really enjoyed the fact that the kids had a separate room from us. This is now our go to hotel! Already planning our next trip at Palomar Inn. We enjoyed it so much that we can't wait to go back for A longer stay. It was far enough away from the huddle and bussle of downtown Pismo but close enough that we could be anywhere in just minutes. The grounds were beautiful aswell.
One of the purposes of the trip was to enjoy the pool but they closed it down because they had to paint the floor for Memorial Day weekend but they forgot about others guests whose families were in the hotel. Also the next day they hired someone to cut the grass, it was very noisy, some families like us just leave the “relaxing area”, not a good move from the staff.
We loved that the room had 3 beds, 1 separate for the snorer 😉, the shower pressure and temp were great, they had soap and shampoo and lots of towels. There is a fridge and microwave, always a plus. The hotel itself is just a few minutes' walk to the beach and all of downtown. Also, when you walk in to check in it smells like dinner is ready.
Our room had a city view, was spacious, quiet, and had a fireplace. The hotel was right off the beach. The hotel provided complimentary beach chairs and towels although we did not use them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with the accommodations.
My kids loved the Pismo Lighthouse suites! The hotel has everything we could ask for - playground, mini-golf, table tennis, heated swimmimg pool & hot tub and close proximity to the beach. Warm breakfast was great too. We will definitely be back!
The location is great - the hotel is situated very close to the beach and all other local amenities. The people offering the valet service are very friendly and approachable, which was a stark contrast from the rude reception staff.
Location was exceptional! Right in the heart of Pismo beach where everything was close and accessible. Sky was friendly and very welcoming when I entered to check in. Area was nice and parking for the hotel was convenient.
We love the Inn at the Cove as the rooms all have super views. Rooms are very clean and the beds are the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. Well maintained hotel and great location. Will definitely be back.
Loved the massive suite and the sea view - saw seals and dolphins. The staff were delightful and there is plenty to do at the hotel, which is a 20-min walk from Pismo itself. Very comfortable stay.
Upon check in, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Convenient location to highway and downtown Pismo Beach. Room and hotel in general was clean. Good value for a quick overnight stay.
