Great location as we were able to walk to dinner. The outside seating areas had fire pits which made it nice to lounge about. The staff was friendly we were always greeted with a smile. This Inn was a wonderful place to stay!

Camden is a beautiful and historic city.
Camden is a beautiful and historic city. We visited the Windsor Chair Factory, walked all the streets of the historic downtown, took a sailing trip on the Surprise, a two-masted wooden sailing schooner - magical (Ramiro and Nicole de Acevedo Ramos 207.236.4687). The Farnsworth Museum is close (Rockland) and is a must-see if you like Wyeth.

Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town.
Loved the scenic walkability and cozy feel of the town. Did not love the lack of available restaurants that could accommodate our large family. 2 hour wait most nites, no reservations accepted. Hard for kids to have Late dinners or wait when they are starving. Finally settled on take out chinese in Camden and ate on hotels back deck. Otherwise lovely area, will return in slower season.

Downtown easily walkable.
Downtown easily walkable. Many choices for dining and shopping. We went during shoulder season and not all restaurants and shops were open and if they were, hours were limited . Can easily see when in season things would get very crowded.

Camden is one of Maine's prettiest towns, it sits on the water and is surrounded by mountains, perfect! Downtown Camden is so picturesque with its harbor and cute little shops, so many from which to choose! Although the weather was not nice at all while we visited, we were able to get out and walk and loved that Camden had a fraction of visitors that it typically has!
The wife and I went to Maine, and loved the smalltown, Hallmark-movie-vibe. And if there was a motel that had that vibe, this was it. You can tell its locally owned. A lobby full of funiture that looked like it came from someone's house.
A very bed-and-breakfast type of feel, but a hotel.
On first entering the lobby, ringing the desk bell brought a super nice fellow running in from the backdoor, apologizing for not being at the desk because he was chopping wood for the nightly campfire. :)
The location along the northern outskirts of Camden was very convenient along interstate 1, as well as the Camden Harbor on Penobscot Bay.
There was a small beach at the end of the property that we were able to put our feet in, but a bit of a hike was involved. The ice machine was perfect for filling our water bottles in the hot weather, and fresh fruit at breakfast was nice. Lemon poppy seed muffin was excellent.
The bedsheets were clean.
We had a lovely stay with Janis and Peter at their inn. They made us feel extremely welcome and at home immediately with a tour of the inn as well as providing us with an information pack for the area and food recommendations! The inn itself is perfectly located in Camden and is absolutely charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially the delicious breakfast!
The room was very cosy with a fireplace. Loved that!
Balcony with nice view
Very good bathroom with great shower (water could come form all the corners!)
Nice bar where they made great cocktails
Nice atmosphere in the hotel. Nice chairs to sit in. Xmas feeling.
Good recommendation to go to a mountain and to go to a lobster place
The location was wonderful and like stepping back in time. I spent my last evening walking to the historic downtown and back to an old grocery store that had been in business for 150 years. This hotel was even featured in the 1957 film "Peyton Place" and the town was the setting for it.
Small plates/dishes for breakfast with lots of choices - not a heavy meal that makes you feel uncomfortably full.
There were numerous places to sit in the lobby/foyer.
Every staff person was lovely.
Whitehall was within walking distance to Camden’s downtown area.
The Inn is excellently located near the heart of Camden, and although on the main road, noise was not a problem. The breakfasts were excellent, as was the dinner, which we had one night of our stay, and the provision of tea at any time was very welcome!
The location was wonderful, a lovely walking distance into Camden. The breakfast was amazing - tasty and just enough, with plenty of tea, coffee, juice. The owners were just lovely - they couldn't have been nicer, and we will definitely be back.
Our hosts were amazing and took great care to see that we were ok. They made a huge effort to produce an exceptional breakfast which we ate outside. The entire experience was outstanding and I would recommend the Elms of Camden to anyone.
This hotel boasts a lovely location, setting (the flowers!)and some unique amenities: fire-pit and S'mores! Coffee available in the lounge/lobby 24 hours. Kind and accommodating staff.
Very charming hotel. Location was ideal: 3 min drive from central Camden and 100m from the water. Great view, impeccable rooms, lovely house & decorations. I recommend 100pc!!!
Awesome location, can’t express that enough. Super cool, old but very well kept hotel. Breakfast was the best I ever had at a hotel. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
We loved the central location of the hotel along with how cozy it felt. Our room felt like a small apartment, with the fireplace and bathroom being a standout for us.
