Where Everybody Knows Your Name
One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as ‘America’s Walking City’. In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. The nearby seaport offers whalewatching trips and restaurants serving a Boston speciality: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modelled on the 80s sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book ‘Make Way for Ducklings’. The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.

Boston is a beautiful & clean city! Boston Public Garden was amazing! We enjoyed navigating downtown Boston on the Freedom Trail. There is plenty of parking in the downtown area, roadside or garages. We especially enjoyed the restaurants & bakeries in the North End. We had a great visit to the Franklin Zoo. We did not use the Public Transit System, but drove & parked in downtown. The Bostonian's are very warm and friendly which creates a lovely ambience around the town. Eating places are plentiful and varied. Thoroughly enjoyed the open tram rides and the Boston Tea Party. Boston is full of history.
Boston is full of history. Much of it relates to the UK, but the city is very multicultural. Driving in Boston is a challenge, but once out of the city roads are very drivable. We stayed in Boston Omni Parker Hotel and ate in the bar attached to the hotel. Really good food and portions at a reasonable price. Boston is fabulous, I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone, its a small city so easy to get around and lots of public transport options as well as a very good hop-on-off bus which takes you to all the sites.

The rooms were quite large and well decorated. The hotel’s location was great—close to Boston’s major landmarks. We very much enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the terrace, and good restaurants were nearby. We had a good breakfast in the hotel too. We really liked Boston—clean streets, nice people, and not hordes of homeless. And you can rent a car from Enterprise right in the complex. Congrats to all!

I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who needs a great place to stay in Boston.
