We didn't want to stay in Bari, so drove the short distance to this amazing white-washed town with great sunset views over the sea. If I had come at a different time of year, I would have definitely gone to the small, but clean beach. Food and drink were inexpensive (5 euro spritz, 9 euro pizza). We ate at the wrong restaurant - should have listened to our host. We went to Sagitarius restorante which is huge and takes tourist buses, but was close to our accomodation. if you order mussels, make sure to say, "in the bowl" bc i got mussels stuffed with breadcrumbs - not what I was expecting.

Its a lovely area for a respite.
Its a lovely area for a respite. Its also a good base for nearby areas like Monopoli and Ostuni. Everywhere is walkable and beautiful visitas of the ocean. I was there in Winter so a 2 night stay was fine. In summer you might stay longer to utilise neighbouring beaches.

Lovely oceanfront city.
Lovely oceanfront city. The oceanfront is made up mostly of cliffs, some with caves, and an occasional beach. There is a nice beachwalk broken by occasional locations where multistory buildings are positioned right up to the edge. Easy walking. Everything is clean and near. My wife and I are seniors, but never saw anything that caused us to be concerned about safety.
Nearby restaurants we tried were very good.

I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare.
I was a little disappointed with Polignano a Mare. I found that there's not much to see or do there. Then again, I'm not much of a beach person. I think this is more of a beach destination if that's your thing. I ended up going to nearby Monopoli each day, which is only a five minute train ride away. I much preferred Monopoli - it felt like more of a city with more to see and more going on. Also, the seaside areas of Monopoli are wonderful, as there are long stretches of walking and biking paths right at the level of the sea.

Beautiful property on the Sea.
Beautiful property on the Sea. Very clean, comfortable bed, spacious room, good quality sheets and towels.
Breakfast had a nice variety of choices.
The property had bikes we could use...they were ridable, but could have been serviced. But for what we used them for, to go beach combing down the street they worked fine.
The property is not walking distance to the main town but tuktuks are available for 10 euros each way.
I would definitely recommend this property.

Beautiful, spacious, immaculate suite large enough for a family or 2 couples. Perfectly clean, excellent kitchen facilities, and a very comfortable bedroom with AC that works really well. Lovely decor. Great location close to the old town and coast and beaches while only a minute away from a grocery store and 10 minutes from the train station. Delicious breakfast on terrace. Host is very communicative and flexible about luggage drop off & storage, as well as early check in. An excellent choice for a stay in Polignano a Mare!
Super lovely little B&B in the heart of Polignano Old Town! The host is exceptionally friendly and the whole stay was great. Our room had a view of the ocean and we were able to use the shower while watching the ocean waves. A super huge bonus is the roof-top terrace where you can watch the beautiful sunset without being at a crowded viewpoint. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy by now - everything one could wish for at a breakfast buffet. Overall we can recommend the accommodation 100%!
Based on Location alone this property would get 10 out 10. Smack in the heart of the old town, 20 meters from a piazza and one of the old arch entrances.
Accommodation in Polignano a Mare isn’t cheap so to get a place in a great location at such a cheap price something had to give. A little more effort on the facilities would make this a great place and worth paying a little more money for.
It was also very close to the beaches and stunning views of the rock faces.
The location was perfect, right in the heart of Polignano a Mare. The host Andrea was outstanding, he insisted on carrying our luggage up to the room himself (we don’t travel light!). He kindly showed us around the area and made some excellent recommendations. He was always on hand to answer any questions and kindly made a reservation for us at a beautiful beach club in Monopoly. We highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the center of Polignano.
The owner Ahille isvery frendly -every time we asked him on WhatsApp for restaurants, where to go etc. he responded immediately. We liked the design of the property, the two levels ,furniture, espresso machine, clear atmosphere and perfect equepment of the house - more than 5 stars hotel at all , Excellent location-walking distance to the city center, easy to come in and go out by car + free parking just in ftont of you
The apartment was very clean, really nice bathroom. Feeling was hotel like, although you have your own privacy. Bed was comfy. Private balcony and also roof deck with sea view. And the nearest beach is across the road. Quiet appartment and easy access to the center ny foot. You have also garage in your use. Appartment is easy to find. We loved everything.
Helpful friendly staff with great local restaurant recommendations, terrace, a la carte breakfast options with fruit platters, welcome drink and fruit nice touches, massages available afternoon and early evening, very helpful with location of nearby secured parking. Great location for busy night life, restaurants and famous beach all minutes away.
The location is excellent, it's only 10 mins to the city center and the most beautiful beach in Polignano a Mare. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We liked the little balcony. The accommodation is very modern and has a lovely interior. The host assistant helped us to book a tuc tuc to get to the winery.
Dear fellow travellers (solo or families) out there, if you want to visit the south of Italy, spend some time here and you won't regret it. The place is just a dream, staff and owner super friendly, beach few steps away, the city is just 7 min driving away. Book your stay and just enjoy it!
We had 5 nights in Polignano a Mare . The Nest was in the heart of the town. Excellent position to bars and restaurants. Accommodation was a little tricky with spiral stairs but that added to it’s quirky style.
Clean, very spacious rooms, great location near city center, train station and bus. The owner was very approachable and most willing to help. He recommended good places to visit, restaurants and beaches.
Lovely accommodation and liked the area just outside of the more crowded Town of Polignano a Mare 5 minutes away by car. 4 minutes walk to lovely cafe and 3 great restaurants on the sea, at San Vito.
The lady doing the check-in was very nice/friendly and collaborative.
Location near the 'beach'.
Ironing tools.
Terrace and sea view, even if we did not have the time to enjoy this.
Location - very close to old city centre and the Lama Monachile beach.
Paolo the host was very helpful giving us ideas for trips and even booking a boat tour for us.
Aquamarea was a charming boutique hotel, offering beautiful sea views and perfect sunset and beach vistas. wet comfy bed and pillows. great balcony with sea views.
Everything was wonderful. Amazing host and hospitality. Beautiful apartment with everything you need. Best place I’ve stayed in Italy over a few years.
