Perfect location just next to Real Mary King's Close,on the Royal Mile. We wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. However, if you are ordering breakfast at Luckenbooths (recommend that you have the residents breakfast which includes a hot dish, a coffee and a juice) avoid the granola. It was 90% granola and 10 % yoghurt, so dry that my mum had to ask for more yoghurt to make it edible, at which point she was offered the smallest portion of yoghurt I have ever seen. Apart from this, everything was perfect and the apartments have a lot of character and are tastefully decorated, very quiet at night too.

Modern amenities in a traditional area were the exception not the norm. Angus went above and beyond in making certain that we enjoyed our stay. Will definitely book again when we return to St. Andrews.

Definitely worth every penny paid, for the tasteful decor, luxurious beds, well-equipped kitchen, complimentary pastries and coffee in the gorgeous lounge. Ideal location in the centre of Edinburgh's new town, near the tram, near the shops and restaurants, but also very peaceful and quiet.
