Albert, the host, was very welcoming. The view from the breakfast balcony was stunning, their garden was beautiful, with a lot of different kinds of birds. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good. I recommend highly.

Everything was swell, Rob and Monika, the advise they had for the tours, they helped us out when we were a bit strapped , the b/f was super, the humming bird, the dog, the birds, pond, plants, rooms, everything was top notch!

It was so fresh with plenty of fruit and lovely coconut bread. It was lovely to have breakfast and watch the birds enjoying the fruit that is put out for them each morning. We also had dinner each evening and the menu was so varied and very international. Eyal is a fantastic host, he is a big character and is so welcoming to all guests. The food was absolutely incredible and we ate in each evening as we did not want to go out and miss his wonderful food. Truly outstanding flavours and quality. Such a beautiful setting. Our room was the jungle room and we loved the jungle theme decoration. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We had a really good balcony overlooking the lake.

Nepenthe B&B is located 4 km from the Arenal Volcano National Park and 3 km from the Arenal Lake. It features a hot tub, sun terrace with swimming pool, spa treatments and free breakfast. We were really happy to spend two days here. The room has a splendid view, the swimming pool also. The restaurant 2 mins walk from our room was fantastic. Far from the chaotic Fortuna, but close to every 'must see and live' in the same time. We really appreciate everything, we hope to come back one day!

Mary was so friendly and helpful. She went out of her way providing us with helpful information, logistical support and transportation. She checked on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, which we did. The home was in a beautiful area walking distance from Lake Arenal Park and recreation area and very close to restaurants and shops. Perfect weather...no need for a heater or air conditioner.
