The location was perfect in Funchal - you could easily walk around the city and get to bus services in a couple of minutes. Sonia and Sonia were super friendly and helpful too.

All Proteas’ rooms are heated and have a private bathroom. Some rooms have a kitchenette and sea views, while others have wooden sloped ceilings. It was a wonderful experience that was made exceptional by the kindness we received from the owner Teresa and the other members of the staff. We had dinner several times here during our stay and it was always delicious and served in a lovely and familiar atmosphere.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 700 metres from Almirante Reis Beach. i have to say from the outset this property and the host are outstanding.i spent 3 weeks here and i shall remember my stay here.the breakfast was very good and was asked if i wanted any change in its contents.the situation of the property was very good.overall nothing was to much trouble for something to be done.and i hope to return here in the future.i really found my stay here a memorable experience

There is also a well-fitted kitchenette in some of the units equipped with a microwave, a toaster, and a fridge. Vila Afonso is a hidden gem - it was our little slice of paradise! The view and property itself are just out of this world, the property grounds are so beautifully maintained that it's wonderful to just lounge about in the garden all day. The owner was most helpful and kind, making sure that everything was in order, and he even provided us with lactose free milk for breakfast upon request!

Sunset House in Arco da Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Featuring mountain and garden views, this guest house also provides guests with free WiFi. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. The location if you travel with car is best, the view is incredible ❤️ The hosta are very nice and helpful. Housenis very calm & peaceful. Kitchen is well-equiped and hosts even offer some products from their garden ^^ Highly recommend if you don’t mind not having the private bathroom. Thank you guys and best of luck!

At the guest house, every unit includes bed linen and towels. Emanuela and Eddy were fantastic hosts! The location was perfect, the room was delightful and clean. We had absolutely no complaints and this was a great launch pad for the first nights of our honeymoon!

Located within 2.7 km of Calheta Beach and 25 km of Girao Cape, Amoreira House offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Calheta. With garden views, this accommodation features a balcony. The guest house provides mountain views, a picnic area, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We chose this place to explore the west part of the island and it was a perfect starting point for all the places we wanted to visit. Multiple famous Levadas are only 20 min away by car. Parking was available right in front of the apartment. The place was nice and tidy, everything is practically new. A big plus was the balcony with a lovely view where we enjoyed our dinners during sunset. Special thanks goes to the lovely Luis (owner), who is a really great guy!

Honestly at first, I was a bit taken aback that there is no staff on site and that it was more of a house/Airbnb type than a hotel. However, it turned out to be AMAZING. I made this purchase DAY OF because of a very stressful last minute change to my trip, and this place was just what I needed to unwind and relax. Everything was super clean, and safe, and the facilities were just wonderful. I also talked with the cleaning lady the next day and she was super sweet. There were mango trees dropping fruit on the property, and all in all it was just magical. Free protected parking and everything. I felt completely safe there. There’s also a grocery store like a 5 min walk away if you want to go pick things up to cook (as well as many eateries).
