The apartment was beautiful and Yvonne welcomed us graciously with fresh baked cookies and bread as well as delicious breakfast supplies for the next morning. With the fresh bread we made breakfast toast and sandwiches for a picnic lunch—fabulous! We appreciated having a washer and dryer in the apartment—it is so helpful to be able conveniently do laundry traveling for an extended time. We’ve been traveling through New Zealand and Australia for nearly 10 weeks and Yvonne’s lodging and warm welcome can’t be topped!

Speaking of the host, they are very kind and thoughtful:) Their exceptional kindness and regular check-ins made our stay absolutely unforgettable. Our expectations were surpassed in every possible way. If only we had extended our stay—it's truly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by those who seek perfection in their travels in Devonport.

We also joined Farm Tour with Jess and had good experience with farm animals. The owner Kim was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations in the local areas. The communal areas at the lodge were also amazing, don't think backpacker, think high end and modern kitchen, dinning and entertaining areas.
