The place is simply wonderful! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner, John, who showed us where to park our motorcycles. We were very lucky with the room we got, as it had a separate entrance from the back of the house, so we got a small hall, a room, and a bathroom all to ourselves + a small backyard with a table and a view to the fields. The room itself was pretty small but cozy and with everything, we may need including the tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom had shower gel and shampoo provided. Everything is exceptionally clean and tidy. In the morning we got a hot Irish breakfast accompanied by toast, jam/butter, coffee/juice, and berries. It was just a short overnight stay but we really wished we could stay longer! Also, when we continued our journey the next day I noticed that it is also pretty close to the town, reachable on foot so the location is also great!

We spent two nights here and it was like having a home away from home. The kitchen was great, the living room large and comfortable, the bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. It's only a couple minutes walk to the grocery store, or there is a Centra (for drinks, etc) just a couple of doors down. We loved everything about this place and would totally stay here again.

Ballinsheen is beautiful: the rooms are lovely, the dining area is charming and full of light, the sitting rooms are pretty, and the garden is stunning. Mary is a friendly, helpful, delightful person with an artistic eye. Everything is top notch, from breakfast to the hand cream in the bedroom. The breakfast items are home-made and featuring local specialties. It was our favorite place to stay in Ireland, and we wish we could have stayed longer! What an oasis after a harrowing drive.

The location is beautiful, just a 2minute drive from town and places to have dinner. The garden is immaculate and the home beautifully decorated in calm colours. The room was very comfortable, bed was comfy and big, bathroom was perfect and everything was exceptionally clean (which I’m a stickler for). The next morning there was a continental breakfast (included in the price) and a €7 charge for a cooked breakfast if you so wished. We opted for the cooked Irish breakfast and it was wonderful! Patricia (the hostess) was so lovely and showed us true Irish hospitality.

Comfort, comfort, comfort. The sofas are just perfect for getting stuck into a book in front of the beautiful big stove. Don't worry if you don't have a book. The shelves are well stocked with good reads. The beds are like marshmallows, exquisitely soft and comfortable, perfect after a day's hike. The house is exceptional well stocked with everything and more. You will not be left wanting for anything. The local walks on your doorstep are visually spectacular. The best of the Burren is really just outside the door. The driveway has ample parking and turning space, and the garden is well tendered. You can really feel the love that has gone into this gorgeous beamed ceiling holiday home. Indulge tired limbs in the roll-top bath or one of two spacious rain showers. I honestly can't wait to visit again. Everything was perfect for the restful escape I needed to recharge. Meeting the owner was a pleasure, and collecting the keys was totally uncomplicated, considering the long drive for him. Off the beaten track, all life's stresses melt away, and I could have moved in forever!
