Defenately it was the right choice in order to explore Venice. We have received all nessesary information at the reception desk. The bus ride was approximately 10 mins or less to get into the city.

The camping is really close to bus stop (400m), it takes 10 minutes to gest to Venezia and buses are really frequent. This is a big yes. Camping is quiet, you can hear the road, but it is just a whisper. The second good reason is that you can safely park your car even before or after check-out and go sightseeing.
