Christian was so helpful and he helped us move our very heavy suitcases to a suitable room.. and took us to the train station.... very helpful!!
I can find nothing negative to say about Melk. We totally enjoyed our stay and all of the attractions that were easily accessible. We eat at local restaurants and the food was excellent. The train station was within walking distance. The river cruise to Krems was amazing. I would do it all again.

Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour.
Very nice small town. We really enjoyed the Abby tour. We also enjoyed the old downtown and all the sites and stores. We were there during the Christmas holiday break so some stores and restaurants were closed but that did no deter us. Would like to visit in the spring and summer.

We only had to spend a Friday night in Melk but once arrived (although pretty late), we got out to take a walk. We were impressed by the tranquility of the old town's city center and had a very nice dinner at Venezzia Restaurant (if you don't have to, don't go to the bathroom there :)). We'll be back to visit the Abbey!

Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see.
Melk abbey is spectacular and a must-see. The town is very pretty and a great place to wander around for an hour or two. There were some nice restaurants and bars, but many places were closed for the season (January). You can see the abbey and town in an afternoon, but there are other places in the surrounding countryside if you stay longer.
Everything. The beds were comfy. It was easy to find and the location is just great. The view is spectacular- it’s underneath the Abby. It is in the middle of the town “Melk” which is a calm and quiet aesthetic place. The hotel was clean and historical. We would have loved to stay even longer! Ps: the warm shower and new facilities were huge impacts on the stay.
The accommodation is located right in the heart of Melk, close to the Danube and the bus 720 stop. Also 2-3 minutes of walking from the train station. The Abbey is right about the B&B. I could even see it from the window :) The owner is a very nice person. Very flexible. Breakfast was exceptional. Homemade jam was delicious.
Superb historic hotel in the main square with parking to the rear , and a nice 2 bed apartment in the annexe where we stayed. Staff were really helpful and friendly throughout , very good restaurant great food and breakfast. 5 minutes walk to the abbey, will definitely stay here again.
we had the marille suite. it was very large and well equiped. the bathroom was top - also large, nice, clean, modern and it had a sauna - great ! the hotel is located on the main square of melk - very good location. the host was ok - provided valuable tips to spend our time around.
A wonderful spot to stay in Melk and singularly quaint to boot. You have a creaking old staircase into large rooms either overlooking the pretty town square of up the the Stift. The cafe where you have breakfast is a dainty place with its red velvet sofa seats. Breakfast was good!
The breakfast was excellent, a varied and extensive buffet with perfect soft-boiled eggs and good fresh fruit. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, in the very heart of the charming village of Melk, just a five-minute walk to the extraordinary Abbey.
Located in a quiet neighborhood, only a short walk away from the old town center. Very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and a super tasty breakfast were offered by the nice owners. Definitely reccomended for a short stay in Melk or just if you are passing through.
The host was very nice and helpful. Rooms and the open areas were also great. Located in the center, near several restaurants and with a direct view to the Abbey of Melk. A fridge in the room or on the property would have been nice to have.
Lovely place a little further from Melk, so do not expect a restaurant nearby, you will have to get in the car for that. The rooms were great, and the garden beautiful, and I had the best apricot and strawberry jams in my life.
Good value.
location of hotel
great breakfast selection in beautiful restaurant
clean rooms with plenty of storage space for luggage
convenient parking nearby
friendly staff & helpful with restaurant booking
Walking distance to city center and the Melk Abbey. Close to the highway. The room was nice (including the shower) and a crib was already set up for our baby before our arrival. The staff was nice.
Very good value for money - rooms were clean, warm and quiet. The location was excellent both for access to the train station and for visiting Melk Abbey and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
We were able to park directly behind the hotel. Food and wine at the restaurant were great and the atmosphere of the outside tables was fun. Staff was friendly and spoke English.
