Austrian hotel industry is my world’s #1. This place keeps the crown! Beautiful rooms and spa area, great restaurant (half board completely pays for itself)!
Seehüter's Hotel Seerose is only 500 metres away from Lake Piburg in the Ötz Valley. It offers a 400 m² spa area with an indoor pool and has Wi-Fi access.

Hotel Stecher is a traditional-style Austrian hotel, very clean & comfortable and only a short walk from the ski lift.
The couple who run it are both delightful & couldn't do enough during a stay with my family in early March 2024. Lothar's bar just outside the hotel ( run by the owner ) is a great spot for post-ski refreshment.
I will very definitely be coming back !
Only 700 metres away from the Hoch-Oetz Ski Area, Aktivhotel Waldhof is located at the entrance to the Ötz Valley. It features a large spa area with an indoor pool and a heated outdoor pool.
Natur & Aktiv Resort Ötztal is a resort in the style of a small Alpine village overlooking scenic mountains at the entrance of the Ötz Valley, only 500 metres from the cable car.

Overall excellent family resort. Great small houses, very clean and well organized. Spa area and swimming pool were of very high standard. The food in the restaurant was very diverse and gourmet. There is no need to use the car to go skiing, The bus stop is just next to the hotel and it takes you to the cable car in 7 min. On the slopes the hotel has a ski wardrobe, so you can leave your gear there.
Boasting an outdoor and indoor pool, this traditional and stylish hotel combines Tyrolean hospitality with modern comfort in the heart of Oetz at the beginning of the Ötz Valley, only 300 metres away...

Suite is top, Super big bathtub for 2 ppl. The food both in the evening and in the morning was super. The bar is ok, do not expect a lot of fun at the bar, but the people who stay there are not typical apres ski party ppl.
Located in the centre of the village of Ochsengarten, Gasthof Waldesruh is set on 1.560 metres above sea level. It offers a small spa area, half board and free parking.

Plenty place for parking. Road in front of hotel does not have almost any traffic in the evening and night, so it is very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was good, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Room including bathroom was very clean, so it was pleasure to be there.
Gasthof Walderhof is located 100 metres from the Hochötz Cable Car in Ochsengarten and 15 metres from the ski slopes. Free private parking is possible on site.

Typical little town with lots of sports shops, local food and supermarkets. It is in an excellent location for those who want to travel in the Otzal Valley and other places.
We visited the area in the summer - so much opportunity to enjoy nature and do outdoor activities. We drove to the town of Imst where we hiked and climbed the mountain along the Rosenngartenschlucht all the way up the mountain to the Imst Alpine Coaster.
The next day we returned to ride the Alpine Coaster - in the summer it get busy so if you dont want to wait in line get ther early in the morning
We did a walking route through the wooden bridges and the forest to Piburger See. Nice palce to spend the day. The water were a little cold for us.
The Stuibenfall Umhausen waterfall is 20 minutes away drive - a must-do! Not an easy climb but the view from the top is simply worth the effort.
The Aqua Dome is also worth driving - you can get discount rate if you get there in the evening.

This was a lovely little area/town.
This was a lovely little area/town. Plenty of shops, eating places, etc. and many many walks. A good hop off point for the rest of the valley (main road to Obergurgl) and Area 47 (adrenaline experience - white water rafting, climbing, water park, etc.) just down the road. Also not far from Innsbruck.

To be fair Oetz by itself is a very small town.
To be fair Oetz by itself is a very small town. There are some nice restaurants there. We mainly used it as our sleeping base to access other areas of the Otz valley. Honestly, in retrospect I'd prefer sleeping in Soelden instead as most of the attractions that were relevant to us were in Soelden or nearby. Soelden is also a slightly bigger town that Oetz. We ate twice at the Cafe Heiner, there was great vibes there and live music on one of the nights. The food was also very good. Besides that the town is very close to the Piburger lake which we enjoyed visiting.

We stayed in September 2019.
We stayed in September 2019. Dorli and her husband were extremely kind and helpful, always prepared to answer any questions and on hand to help with any queries, nothing is too much trouble. Dorli really cares that guests enjoy their stay, so if you have any issues, you only need to ask or tell her. We certainly look forward to returning in March.
The SPA and wellness area is fantastic. The meals are good but certainly the breakfast buffet has well exceeded expectations - superb!
The staff was incredibly helpful and professional, the service standard is of the highest quality.
We have been in a few wellness hotels in the Austrian Alps for ski trips already, and price/quality wise Habicher Hof has been the best one so far.
The Owner, Mr. Franz deserves a perfect 10. This guy is friendly, helpful, very keen to help with anything you need and gives personal service.
Very comfortable parking, good wifi, good beds and a small (separated) area for table tennis that the kids enjoyed.
Great view just over Oetz village.
The location was really close to the Trekking Routes and also to the cable car. The lady in the front office/Restaurant was polite. Breakfast was enough. There was a free car Park in the front of the hotel. We stayed one night but we loved the location and want to come back in the future.
Plenty place for parking. Road in front of hotel does not have almost any traffic in the evening and night, so it is very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was good, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Room including bathroom was very clean, so it was pleasure to be there.
Convinient location - very close to A12/S16 Autobahn with an excellent access to Ötztal and other beautiful vallies in the Western Tirol.
Friendly and helpful family owners.
Tasty large pizzas served in a restaraunt at the ground floor.
It’s in the heart of Oetz and in the middle of Innsbruck and Mittenwald, 35 minutes away. Hosts, Manuela and her daughter, Carolina, are sweet and took care of us. I’ll stay here again if i ever go back to Innsbruck or Mittenwald.
Nice views from the terrace.
Spacious and well equipped apartment.
Great spa facilities.
Practical to use free ski lockers / dryers at hotel just right by the bus station (connections to all ski resorts in Ötztal)
Great location close to Oetz center / bus station (to Soelden) and lift for Kuhtai resort.
Quiet area and close to the river for nice walks and/or run.
Nice large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, very convenient.
This place is a great value for a ski trip or other mountain trip. We were very comfortable, had a good place for our car, very short drive to Oetz and mountain. Our son loved the horses.
The location is great. In the centre of Oetz village. Restaurants are close and good. Supermarket nearby. Parking included. Ski facilities included. Host very nice and friendly.
Our room, the breakfast (oh my the breakfast!), Karolin (host), the location, cleanliness - everything was perfect. Haus Tirolerland and Karolin are treasures of the alps.
The hotel had 1970s charm and is obviously been renovated when it is possible. It is a huge hotel. There was a bike room to keep the bikes safe. Balcony view was amazing.
In the center of Oetz. A very characteristic place (outside and inside). Very friendly and helpfull family maken you feel at home. Good start for hiking and bicycling.
