The apartment was well appointed, spacious and comfortable with all facilities we needed for a 4 night stay. The breakfast provided was beyond our expectation. We were extremely impressed with how courteously we were treated by the proprietors and especially their kindness and care extended to us. The location was quiet and private but still close enough for access to town.

If you’re looking at going for the country music festival, Don’t! It was the biggest disappointment of all time.
There was hardly any country and the time wasted by the committee with the competing competitors was a laugh. Expecting really great bands , didn’t mind paying the price to get in but no , nothing really great at all. No wonder even the community of charters towers didn’t even go. Speaking to locals at places in the town they say it has been that way for quite awhile now. Something needs to be done!

We intended to stop for one night but stayed an extra day so we could see more of the town. We took tour of the gold battery and visited the ambulance museum as well as a trip to Towers Hill. So much history everywhere. You could spend hours just checking out the old buildings. We would have loved to do the evening ghost walk but were not there on the right night. The town had a friendly atmosphere and accommodated tourists well. If you like cickenss and ducks, visit Lissner Park to see the duck pond. So much to see we needed more time.

We were there to see our granddaughter and we ate at macca's. We found it easy to get around as we had a navman. We loved that you could sit on the little portch and look out over the playing field saw some kids practising football was nice, very quiet. Well set out thank you.

Historic town, many old buildings make for an interesting streetscape. Tower Hill for views, sunset and WW2 history. We would have liked Texas Longhorn tour, but it was not on at this time. The town is baking hot around midday. Plan your activities for morning and late afternoon

We were overwhelmed by the friendliness, courtesy and hospitality of all the people in Charters Towers, be it in the shops, the restaurants, the church, students from the schools downtown on Saturday morning.........we had the most positive experience in the town.
We were also fascinated by the variety of good shops.
Our biggest problem was that we had to leave too soon.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Charters Towers
We travelled to Charters Towers for a friend's birthday, and the hotel was very close to their property, so that was perfect. It is also very close to the golf course, which was an additional bonus. The rooms were very spacious and had everything we needed, including an electric frypan, microwave, fridge, etc. There was plenty of additional room for parking on the grounds. We liked visiting the chickens! The property was attractively priced and is probably the best available in its category.
What was there not to like?
A surprising, unique and indulging experience after our many days on the road. We loved the privacy, space and comfort as well as the interesting back story to Kernow. If you are feeling weary and in need of a few days to take things slowly...close enough to the town to explore the incredible history of Charters Towers...
Great hospitality will welcome you!
The hotel was amazing it was located in a good location with the hotel being close to the main town area which was close by to shops .
It was so spacious, clean and comfortable.
Definitely worth staying here.
This Motel had a very clean modern newly updated bathroom - except no water pressure! Which was a shame - it looked so good. Used the laundry which was great. Restaurant was closed.
We were travelling through Charters Towers and just wanted a sleep over. This met our requirements. It was on the edge of town and a convenient start for the next morning.
