Very nice apartment. Very clean with lovely furnishings. I loved the small touches like fresh flowers and a complimentary cheese platter. Our hosts were delightful and couldn't do enough for us. Great location, right in the main street. Best place we stayed in Tasmania.

I have stayed here many, many times over the years, usually a couple of times a year. It is always lovely cosy, only a short walk or drive, (I rather walk) into town for a meal at the pub or a coffee at the Brown Dog.
Cable Station Accommodation includes free Wi-Fi. Guests can choose from King room or Queen room, both offering a claw foot bath and rural views overlooking the Bass Strait.

Stanley is a unique location with a rich history. Staying at the Ship Inn helped us to appreciate this location and its history. Excellent eating places within easy walking distance - Stanley Hotel provided a very enjoyable meal; Hurseys is a must visit with great seafood dishes, with an array of other options. Stanley is very easy to get around both on foot and by car. Only one bowser for petrol provided a challenge, but is easily managed. A great place to visit.

Nicely set up for tourists, with a wide range of accommodation options. A good base for exploring The Tarkine Drive (and some short walks along the route). Stanley has specially designed, red-lit platforms for admiring the little penguins coming ashore in the evenings. There is a nice, wind-swept walk around the top of the Nut, which hosts a colony of pademelon.

Penguin viewing, walking the town and enjoying a great coffee at Marley’s and excellent takeaway fish and chips from Hurseys. We arrived at 8 pm on Day 1. Spent Day 2 visiting the Tarkine area then walked around Stanley. Day 3 we enjoyed the Harvest Market - excellent for fresh produce, craft and music.

Accommodation was superb and pub was just across the road. If we had more time, it looks like a lovely little town to walk around.
Definitely take the chair lift instead of walking up the hill. Then you have the energy to walk around the top of The Nut.

Stanley is a beautiful town with lovely houses and places to eat, drink and shop. A trip on the chair lift to the top of The Nut was excellent. Icing on the cake was seeing the little blue o penguins come home after a days’ fishing.

Herseys seafood was a big disappointment.. have abeBen traveling to Stanley for many years and up until this trip enjoyed the experience at restaurant... apparently new chef would not recommend you waste your money...we went to stanley hotel and had an excellent meal would recommend the hotel
The Seaview Inn is located on the outskirts of Stanley village center, offering beautiful views of the ocean and "the Nut"
The staff on arrival and departure were warm and friendly and ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
We stayed in top floor accommodation which offered the best views of this stunning location. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. There was also a well stocked mini bar and an adorable stuffed penguin you can purchase as a memory of your trip to Stanley.
This accomodation has been our best stay in Tasmania. We had our own little bungalow out the back of the main house. The location is just around the corner from the beach and the penguins. The paddy melons were everywhere. We walked through the cemetery on the hill . We drove to Hursey’s seafood and had a spectacular seafood meal in the restaurant- we highly recommend the lobster with the Stanley saltbush butter!! Our whole stay was beautiful. Thanks Hanlons, you have a remarkable location by the sea.
Wow, this accom was a taste of luxury. Such beautiful rooms. Loved everything. So nice to stay here, really uplifting. The bath was so pretty and room for two. Bed and pillows comfy. Oodles of food included and left in fridge. Fantastic views. The first night was really windy so everything rattled as the wind howled, wild and thrilling. The second night was peaceful and calm, really quiet. Slept well both nights. Honestly, the only place I'd stay in Stanley.
We loved everything about the Inlet! We stayed in the Oystercatcher and it was incredibly well thought out with amazing attention to detail, and included everything that we needed to make it a very comfortable stay. We really appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and cheese too - what a lovely gesture and great way to enjoy the view. We would have definitely stayed longer as it's in a great spot to explore Stanley and the north-west.
Stanely is a beautiful place. The park is well situated to beaches, a town, a golf course, and fairy penquins come in on dusk as well as during the night wallabies come into the park. Most essentials are catered for. Modern furniture and facilities. An IGA supermarket is next door. The best of all is the scenic bay next to the park. It just has a lovely old-world charm in the village streets. A Heritage town of nthwest Tasmania.
It was so tastefully appointed whilst still maintaining the original character and history of the property. Everything seemed to be considered for travelers to give the most memorable experience of Stanley (luxury lounge area, beautiful garden under the nut!) whilst also providing practical facilities (Laundry, Gym, bikes)
The Mariner Rose was a real treat for our last night in Tasmania - we hiked the Overland Track and then did a road trip up the West Coast. The property is beautiful with every detail thoughtfully considered. Amanda was a great host and we loved meeting Sophie the sheepdog too! Couldn’t fault the experience if we tried!
Very nice house with full facilities where I can cook my dinner. Location is close to Godfrey’s beach. The house is clean and big enough for 2 people. There are living room and bed room in Abbey on church. Wifi also worked well here. I had to take key at Stanley hotel and drive a little bit to Abbey on church.
We stayed in the bakery cottage. The old bakery ovens were retained in the wall next to the bed. One of the few villages in the world we have visited which have retain the original shops and converted them into quality accommodation. Location was also perfect to access the hotel and other retailers in Stanley.
Fantastic location in the Main Street, close to everything. lovely old building with modern facilities. Lovely place to stay to end our trip around Tasmania, quite quirky with a lovely garden out the back. Travelling in a group 6 adults plenty of room, with lovely comfortable beds.
A charming and cozy cottage at a great location in one of the best towns in Tasmania. The rooms were very generous and the beds comfortable. The cheese platter and hot water bottles were a lovely touch with the inclusion of a washing machine and dryer were very appreciated
Nina made the place feel like a home away from home. It was well set up and very comfortable. We could have stayed there for a week if time permitted. Great location and close to everything in Stanley.
Away from the town the Post Masters Suite has a great old world, yet very modern atmosphere. When you have a clear night the stars are awesome. Even saw some little penguins wandering nearby.
it was amazing, fresh flowers and a free cheese platter provided. great communication from the hosts. great location with amazing views. best place we stayed in Tasmania. five stars
The location of the accommodation right on the waterfront was much appreciated. The food and service provided by the Stanley Hotel (the owner of the accommodation) was superb.
A most memorable part of our trip to Tasmania. Friendly hosts, extremely comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Cafe and gift shop attached--what more could one want!
