L’Hospitalet de Llobregat is roughly midway between Barcelona El Prat Airport and the centre of the Catalan capital, which makes it a popular accommodation choice. Although now effectively a Barcelona suburb, it is actually a separate city and is one of the most densely populated in the EU, which means no shortage of cheap hostels, modern apartments and luxury hotels on Booking.com.
One of these – the Hesperia Hotel – is a landmark in its own right, as its bulbous tower encloses a panoramic restaurant. Other innovative skyscrapers pepper the skyline – a sign of the city’s financial importance. Fira Barcelona Montjuic is a busy exhibition centre and across the road is the large Gran Via 2 Shopping Centre.
Metro stations on the Gran Via connect Hospitalet de Llobregat to Plaça d'Espanya. It is also linked to Barcelona Sants by trains from the station near El Centre, the oldest district. Narrow Carrer Xipreret is lined with pastel-coloured buildings and a historic building around the corner houses the Hospitalet History Museum. Another interesting structure is the Can Sumarro library and the surrounding shops, cafés and bars reflect the diverse population.
In the north, near Barcelona’s Les Corts district, is the iconic Nou Camp stadium, home of world-famous FC Barcelona.

Sent my days in Barcelona, I was there just to sleep because I got a cheaper hotel located there. There were no good options for restaurants for dinner or coffee places. It's not a touristic area at all. Wouldnt recommend staying there unless you need to save some money on accommodation or have a specific event you're are attending nearby.

Great acomodation for a very good price in central location. We were in Barcelona for a Euroleague game and all were fantastic. The facility have exactly what you would need and furnished ia tasty style especially for thar kind of price range. Maybe the only thing that could be seen as a flaw was the lack of an elevator... But we didn't need any .

The people in the front desk was very helpful.

It's not a busy part of Barcelona in the tourist sense. You need to use the Metro at least 30 minutes with line changes to get to the major tourist attractions but this was close by to the Fira Granvia where I was going to work the following week.IramainUnited States

The view out the window towards the airport - is beautiful. We stayed on the upper floors. On the last day, we had the opportunity to use the outdoor pool - very pleasant after the hot heat of the day. Metro station nearby. So it was easy to get to the centre. As we are not people who like the hustle and bustle of the city, the location of the hotel slightly outside the centre - is wonderful. The staff is very helpful.

Taxi from Airport cost approx. 25 eur, from/to downtown varies between 8-12 eur. Location is quiet and just opposite of big shopping center. Cleaning was good and done every day. Pool at the top was super nice - although it wasn't officially open yet and freezing cold, but we loved it :) All the hotels during Easter time were expensive, this was quite ok for the money - I can recommend!

Good location easy to reach city center by metro what was near. I bought ticket for 8 journeys per 10 euro and we used it with my husband. Parking was nearby, it was host´s recommendations. Our car - minivan what is 2,1 meter high and this parking was perfect. Super safe what is really important in Barcelona😁 We paid about 6.5 euro per day. Gracias fue perfecto!

Big shopping mall nearby with a supermarket, cafeteria, restaurants and other shops. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There is a cafeteria on the ground floor connected to the hotel where you can have a very nice breakfast. The room was small but it was absolutely fine for us for 1 night before our onwards travel.
