Friendly, parking place in the garage, beds were clean and good, very good breakfast (a lot of choice )
This hotel is conveniently located in the modern area of Tortosa, with excellent connections it is very close to the commercial and cultural center of this beautiful city.
Enjoy a historic setting and magnificent views from this 10th-century castle, carefully restored as a luxury hotel but still retaining much of its original charm.

Everything was very well cared for and the beautiful garden was filled with small cute areas with a lot of detail. The breakfast was delicious and super special, the staff is lovely and is fast at responding when you have an issue or question.
The other people that also stayed in other rooms had an amazing and calm vibe.
Overall it was a homey and relaxing experience (:

Access to the city of Tortosa by foot means climbing a lot of stairs, you can also park your car in a parking space near the entrance of the parador just before the castle walls to be on the same level as the city.
Tortosa is not very special (except the cathedral) there are some monasteries in the proximity (like Poblets) which are spectacular for a visit as well as the Ebro river side close to the sea (boattrips etc).

We went to Cocteria Xapla on Sunday evening - one of the few places open. Nice riverside views and food was good - not exciting - goats cheese salad and standard calamari - the deep fried spinach with cheese was interesting.
The Green Way route heading North was a real disappointment - kilometers walking by a nondescript canal and industrial warehouses with barely a tree in sight - don't bother unless you are on an electric bicycle. The calas (small bays) near Ampolla are much nicer - there are a few to choose from about a 30 km drive away and the sand dune walk at the edge of the Ebro Delta was also very beautiful.

A very interesting town to wander around, yet quite compact and easy to get around on foot. Full of interesting old buildings, nooks and crannies. Unfortunately a lot of the old city is in disrepair, but some renovations are being done. It'll look great when it's finished!

We travelled to Tortosa to see some friends, otherwise we would of done this trip in the summer, so I believe that we would have the opportunity to enjoy it better, once the summer weather would make a big difference due to the outside activities we were able to enjoy. This time of the year was very could but even though was nice to visit the city.

Cathedral, castles, river and mountains impress in this beautiful city, virtually unknown to British tourists.
There are some very run down and poor areas in the old town, but these have a lot of character too.
Very responsive and helpful lady, Davinia (if I remember correctly) at reception. She went above and beyond with great suggestions and helped us extend our stay.
The building has an elevator, nice lobby type room. There’s only a few rooms, so not a lot of noise on the floor.
Tortosa has a lot to discover, don’t hesitate to stay for a few days.
It was a very relaxing stay, room was very clean, spacious, air conditioning was pleasant, breakfast was delicious (I particularly loved the coffee). Everything was luxurious and we always enjoyed returning to the hotel after a busy, warm day.
The location was perfect right next to the train station, the hotel was clean and calm and the room was basic but nice. The bathroom is really good with everything you need available. There was a TV and a stereo system to listen to music.
Carol and Keith are very enthusiastic people and they take great care of their hosts. Their place is lovely, close to Tortosa and Amposta, but in the middle of manderine and olive fields. And breakfast was, well, delicious.
Lovely hosts, great privacy, great location - close to tortosa and beaches. We stayed twice, once in the bell tent and once in the bungalow and both were spacious and comfortable and very well equipped.
The hotel and grounds were lovely. The receptionist was friendly, polite and informative. The rooms while dated was very clean. The breakfast was fine. The pool was great. Parking was easy and free!
This hotel is exceptional value for money, excellent location for both the train station and city centre, the bonus was the breakfast, a pleasant surprise to see such great choice in buffet style !
The location is beautiful. There are expansive views of Tortosa and surrounding valleys. The hotel is very pleasant, clean and well maintained. The food at the restaurant was very good.
The hotel was unexpected, the property is very beautiful in a monastery. Nice room, pretty comfortable, helpful, and kind staff. Not far from El Ebro Delta!
