I didn't think the hotel was as easy to find as others have suggested. The underground parking is good..... HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO BOOK A SPACE BEFORE ARRIVAL. This is not highlighted on the Booking.com website

The town is wonderful.
The town is wonderful. Old stonehouses and also palaces and great administrative old buildings in baroque and classical styles. Surrounding mountains add to the views. Sadly you could see quite a lot drug users and homeless and unemployed people.Andreas - 10Scored 10
We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere...
We were on our way to Les Arc to ski so needed a somewhere to stay overnight that was conveniently close to the motorway. The Chambery Ibis hotel ticked all the boxes and allowed us to continue our journey completely refreshed, at a very reasonable cost.

My husband left valuable jewellery in room by mistake .. after email and 3 phone calls he could not get any result. We are still trying to have his property returned .. the receptionist keeps saying they do not speak English and tell him to phone back. Very distressing.

Breakfast was outstanding, really French and with fresh juice, warm bread, different sorts of cheese and marmalade, honey, ham, croissants and coffee/tea. Quiet considering location next to motorway, enormous car park gated at night. Took only a couple of minutes to re-join the motorway in the morning, and continue our journey. Highly recommend La Cote et l'Arete Steak House immediately opposite for an evening meal. A top notch burger and Mt Blanc beer only 22 euros. We will be back.

The hotel has no character everything looks fake and the rooms are very small and dark with a smelly carpet. However the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is convenient next to the station but definitely not recommend for a longer stay.
