We enjoyed a fairy tale stay at Chateau Marcellus in Marmande. The owners Catherine and Samuel were so kind and hospitable, and down to earth. What an incredible experience! Our “room” was an 800sf apartment with a sitting room, a huge bedroom with another sitting area, two fireplaces, a dressing room, and large bath with a claw foot tub. We had a nice dinner at sunset and a lovely sunrise breakfast on the terrace. We made friends with the owners and the dog Oak, he was so much fun. Great find and already looking forward to our next trip!

If I could give 6 stars, I would happily do so. we enjoyed a warm welcome w/a roaring fire (much appreciated after a chilly ride). comfortable bed & room. superb dinner & wine; hearty breakfast. all foods are local or homemade. we enjoyed an interesting & fun conversation using both French & English. simply the best stay we’ve enjoyed on our bike tour.
