The room was basic but what it lacked in size or charm it made up for in convenience of the location and the delicious breakfast. It was a good value overall.

A picture book medieval walled village with beautiful open places, cafes, bar’s, restaurants, galleries, shopping, 2 cathedrals, and a resident Duke! The Saturday market is a big event with all sorts of traders from pottery, clothing, handcrafts, to wine, cheeses and locally grown produce. Wednesday market is more produce. The village has a beautiful park with Roman ruins and water spring being the source of the Pont du Gard which is 14 kms away … there is a bike track which follows the aqueduct. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as specialty shops and galleries. It is a great location for exploring the area.

A pretty unspoilt town which does not feel like a tourist trap. Lots of local restaurants used by local people. Very good value for money. We loved Le Bec Fin, La Parenthese at the Hostellerie Provencale, Ma Cantine, Terroirs and Trattoria Bettina et Bettino. Great variety of shops selling unusual things. Fantastic art galleries. Excellent car park so close to the centre of town. Fabulous Saturday market. A town in which you can stroll morning, afternoon and nighttime and always see something different. Super park if you travel with a dog!

It’s a beautiful old historic town with lots of nice restaurants and shops. The nature around it is gorgeous, there are also lovely villages nearby, not to mention Pont du Gard which is a win for when you travel with dogs.
We had a long lunch at Chez des Amis, parking is easy in Uzes. We stayed at Mas des Lilas, there is an old walking path from Mas des Lilas into Uzes.
What is horrendous are the mosquitoes, they are an aggressive bunch. But that is not just Uzes that’s the whole of southern Europe. We went to Italy on this trip as well and it was the same.

Uzes is a family favourite since we were introduced to it about 10 years ago. It is a gem of a city. Excellent food. Friendly locals. Great wine. Lots to see and do both in the town and in nearby villages.
In terms of eating/drinking the areas around the town square - Place aux Herbes -are pretty average.
Avoid all of it, with the exception of Terroirs which has very nice food, their wine by the glass is not so great but if you order a bottle you'll be fine.
Generally the best dining is on the ring road - specifically Rue Gambetta and blvd Charles Gide.
This year we discovered two outstanding places.
Usage, 6 Boulevard Gambetta, Open every day but Sunday. Wonderful fine french dining, reasonably priced
also for fantastic wine try
Copains Comme Cochon, 5, boulevard Charles Gide, open daily - fantastic sharing platters and the best tomato salad I've ever eaten.
Also Comptoir du 7, 7 blvd Charles Gide, considered to be the best restaurant in Uzes. Its pricey but nice. We didn't go this time.

Very pretty medieval town that had many small streets, cathedral and small shops to explore. Lovely square full of restaurants in the centre of the town, with the restaurants either under the arches of palisaded stone buildings or canopies, all around trees that were covered in twinkly lights at night. Great range of menus at reasonable prices.
Usez is only 10 mins drive from the Pont du Gard which is well-worth a visit. Parking there is 9€ Flat rate for your stay but we’ll-worth the cost: take your swim wear, towels and lunch to enjoy a swim in the the refreshing river after exploring the Roman aqueduct & museum.
Many local wineries nearby selling very good wine at reasonable prices, with tasting possible.
Easy access from Usez to other small medieval towns nearby.
Great location for exploring the area. We’d only booked 1 night at our accommodation but wished we could stay longer.
Our room was excellent - spacious, very comfortable with stunning views. All areas of the hotel were tastefully decorated in keeping with the age and nature of the building. The swimming pool on the first floor was something to look forward to after a hot day sight seeing. We enjoyed dinner in our room one evening and it was delicious. Breakfast involved numerous choices for all tastes and again was very good. In particular all the staff we met were very welcoming, efficient and a credit to the hotel!
This apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay in Uzès. It is large and bright and even more lovely than in the photos! The rooms are spacious and there is a terrace that is perfect for sitting outside in the sun. The kitchen is fully equipped and the apartment was spotless. It was super easy to collect the keys and to hand them back at the end of our stay. The owners and caretaker were very pleasant and helpful. We hope to stay in this beautiful apartment again when we next visit Uzès.
Beautiful location, beautifully furnished with incredible art everywhere, with the most authentic French breakfast 'ever'!.A true gem in Uzes. Also easy to get to with the car for unloading baggage etc. Plenty of safe parking nearby. And if the owners could afford a little wider smile at times, then it would be 101/100. We'll return in any case, even if just to say hello to the delightful house Dalmatian Polo.
Such nice and helpful hosts plus a relaxing outdoor area we were welcome to use to relax plus a beautiful modern bedroom and bathroom w our own private exit and patio. And if that is not enough, full and amazing breakfast served on a beautiful patio on the other side of the house!! All of this 5 minutes drive from the beautiful town of Uzes.
We were very warmly received by the most helpful and attentive concierge, Madam Carra and her family. The accommodation was clean, well-appointed, with a typical French ambience, and within very easy reach of the main square and shops. Ideal location to spend a week in Uzes to explore this facinating town.
Cyrille was an excellent host. Very friendly and helpful. The property is in an excellent location in the centre of Uzes yet it is very quiet, well equipped, beautifully decorated and has many interesting features. Uzes is a fascinating town steeped in history. We love it!
We loved absolutely everything about this exceptional property and this beautiful place in France. This property is very well appointed and decorated beautifully; we did not want to leave. Everything was well thought through and the host gracious. Merci beaucoup!
This is a wonderful apartment located in a quiet street just off the main square in Uzes. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Isabella is super sweet and probably the nicest host we have ever met during our travels. Highly recommended.
The apartment is well located, right in the heart of Uzès which is a charming little town. The apartment is well furnished, including tea, coffee, and other light drinks. The check-in is flexible (there is a coded-box at the entrance for the keys).
swimming pool, facilities for apéro &breakfast, kindness of the hosts, excellent home-made breakfast, very confortable bedrooms, nice exchange with other guests and hosts, 700 m from Uzes central place & restaurants, free parking lot
An elegant and stylish small hotel beautifully run by Alex and Gwillaume. Uzes is a gorgeous city and this hotel reflects everything about it. The location is perfect. Breakfast is served in a garden room and is delicious
The location excellent, the room comfortable, and the food beyond belief!!! Truly one of the very best places I have visited in France. I enjoyed the French experience from hosts who paid attention to every detail. Merci!!
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Very clean and with good amenities. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hotel was also very well located. I highly recommend a stay here. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were comfortable.
The perfect location for a stay in Uzes - just off the main sqaure but extremely quiet. The apartment was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the host was always attentive and helpful. Highly recommend!
