Superb, Chateau de Rocheau is an opportunity to get away from ubiquitous, sterile travel hotels. It can be best described as shabby chic, and a vsit to bygone eras. But look beyond that and you notice the care taken and attention to detail. Madame, the owner is a star, she is very engaging and attentive and clearly has a passion for her chateau.
Situated in extensive grounds which have been adapted for medieval/history events for children. A donkey, sheep, ducks, geese and a peacock freely roam the grounds.
We enjoyed a very good French breakfast, which set us up nicely for our onwards travel and we look forward to our stay on our home bound journey.
