Wow!! The White Horse was just lovely from stepping through the doors to the very end of our stay.
What a fabulous place to stay filled with history.
Very friendly staff from start to end, nothing was to much trouble for them.
Our room was great with beautiful furnishings, even down to the little duck in the bathroom.
It was the small touches which made it in the room. Books, playing cards, really great coffee machine with real great coffee, something you always want when you get in.
And the best breakfast made to order to your liking when you go down. Well done!!

Location was good for us, however the cleanliness was not the best and made us feel uncomfortable. Lighting bad in room.

Dinner was superb. Really good homemade curries. Comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable sofas and plenty of books to read in the lounge downstairs. Great walks in the Forest, just across the road. Easy to walk into Lyndhurst from the hotel. We've been here several times now.

Loved the location, but also very happy with the hotel. Staff extremely helpful and patient, really made an effort with our anxious little dog- loved the fact that it was so dog friendly in general, gardens lovely and lead straight into the New Forest- mind blowing. Will definitely go back!
The best thing was the location, walking through the garden gate straight into a lovely part of the forest with wide stretches of parkland and big oaks.
The hotel was comfortable, the food was good and everyone was helpful. Good choice of breakfasts. Great outdoor seating area.
