We were at a nearby wedding so only stayed at the hotel for a very short time. The room was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. Thought it was a bit expensive

Edel is a fantastic host! We loved staying at Roofers Rest. It's a great central location for exploring Northern Ireland.
The house is spacious and well equipped with everything you need but it is also comfy and homely.

We went to Bellaghy to attend a John Cooper Clarke recital in the Seamus Heaney Home Place. There was an excellent pub there called the Tap House where we had a gorgeous meal at a reasonable price. Bellaghy is compact so shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Also a beautiful Board Walk to Church Island, about 5 minutes by car from the village.

The Seamus Heaney visitor centre -"The Home Place" is wonderful. It was a second visit for me & I will go again.
I think lovers of poetry & Literature will want to explore the vicinity.
No experience of anything else in the village unfortunately.
