The Elephant & Peacock previously The Strutt Arms was an amazing stay. The food was delicious, best Indian food I've ever eaten ! Ruben and Lillie were great, they accommodated us during the meal and my son arrived slightly after 9pm when they stopped serving but were happy to organise a meal for him. Fabulous, friendly staff including the owner who was serving at breakfast.

The Family Tree is in a beautiful situation. We witness that the owner allows a local ladies' choir to rehearse there for an hour or so on Tuesday evenings, an important and excellent facility for the community. We applaud this.
Our bedroom was absolutely fine for our visit and the dining room was excellent.
Due to the traffic, we were late to arrive. Our host was fine about this, so all was well.
