Little Walsingham is pretty, no doubt about it, but there is not a lot going on there apart from the RC and Anglican shrines. there's a tea shop, a shrine shop and two pubs and a farm shop, pus the gournds of the ruined abbey. It's fine as a base for the north norfolk coast and I spent most of my time in Cley and Blakeney.

Pleasant little village with an excellent farm shop and Tea shop “Digest and Rest” which made fabulous cakes. The Black Lion hotel serves excellent food and looks a very comfortable place to stay. The village has a remarkable history and is an exalted pilgrimage destination. Everyone very friendly.

A very interesting village with tudor houses, locals cared for their village as all frontages were adorned with beautiful potted colourful flowers.
Not for individuals with walking difficulty as uneven footpaths.
Plenty of parking but village does get very busy with tourists by 11:00.
I used the pub in the square which was more homely and less chaotic rather than the one next door to Elham house. This was my personnal choice.

Fantastic village with a great pub at its heart.
Fantastic village with a great pub at its heart. Would say the beating heart of the community. Its place on the map established many years ago as a place of worship and pilgrimage. Villiage life and religious heritage both go very much hand in hand.

The village is picturesque and the surroundings are lovely.
The village is picturesque and the surroundings are lovely. There is a b=narrow-gage railway line which is a joy - it goes to the seaside nearby at Wells Next the Sea.
The village is the site of the Anglian Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and 1 mile away, of the R.C. Shrine with the Slipper Chapel and a splendid new church. There is also an Orthodox Church in the Village, which is usually open, and has interesting icons.
The village is consumed by the Shrines, so if you are not interested in these things, best to stay nearby and visit for the day. Not a good place to stay if you are not religious-minded! There is little else to see or do. A choice of tea-rooms and shops with church-related keep-sakes etc. but nowhere really to get a meal, especially I the evenings.

Location is perfect for exploring all the north Norfolk coastline. Peaceful and quiet village. Cottage was warm as good heating system, beautifully presented. All utensils and pots etc needed for cooking our meals. Generous area for parking. Plenty of towels and bedding. Books, games and hairdryer available if needed. Nespresso coffee pod machine. Would stay again!
Very friendly staff; very comfortable room; clean warm bathroom with large fluffy towels; limited but delicious evening menu; excellent breakfast. It’s a proper village pub, not a posh boutique hotel, with a great atmosphere and not too noisy for us to be able to sleep.
A perfect location for a Norfolk holiday. We will book again next year for our annual trip.
Beautiful, classy intimate hotel. Staff incredibly attentive and welcoming. Room and bathroom was spectacular. Breakfasts were delicious.
Excellent value for money and will definitely be staying again.
Thank you so much for looking after us so well. We had a magical time.
Full breakfast was lovely. Our waitress Dawn was friendly helpful and efficient. The landlady was friendly too. The location was beautiful very interesting and relaxing. Little Walsingham is very quaint and like stepping back in time. It's highly recommended
I stayed here several years ago and thus I knew that it is simple accommodation - a retreat for those on pilgrimage not a 5 star hotel. I was so pleasantly surprised to find out that it has been fully refurbished. My bedroom was very comfortable indeed..
Not sure what to expect until we met a charming receptionist called Keith who went out of his way to make us feel at home and told us and showed us the hotel and facilities. This made all the difference despite the fact there was no ensuite or TV.
lovely quirky place unlike any chain hotel. hosts were very pleasant knowledgeable and accommodating. very nice continental breakfast. good wifi which made up for the lack of a tv which was actually quite nice and was in character with the place
The hotel was lovely, my room was comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast slot, beginning at 0830, was very civilised and relaxing!
This property was very close to all points of interest in Little Walsingham.
The host was welcoming and it was a treat to stay in such an old and atmospheric building.
The Elham House Pilgrim Hotel is excellent. Superb value for money, very comfortable and a lovely atmosphere.
Special thanks to Rachel on reception for her help.
Excellent staff; friendly and helpful.
Dinner and breakfast were a delight.
Charming character hotel set in the heart of a very interesting and pretty village.
I did not have any meals at the hotel. But what I did see of them they looked very good, I did partake of the coffee from the always available machine.
