Good location for our cycle tour. The owners allowed us to check in early in the morning and leave our cars in the car park for the whole day after we had checked out. They put our bikes in a secure space overnight. The food was delicious. Our room was large en-suite clean and comfortable.

The Chequers is in a great location for visiting Battle. It is within walking distance of The Abbey, the Battlefield, the station and Battle high street.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the pub has lots of traditional features like creaky floors and low ceilings because of the age of the building.
All the Staff were very helpful and friendly and the food is delicious.
