The location was excellent and the staff were very friendly and we'll informed in relation to the local area. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Bathroom had soft fluffy towels and again was clean with complimentary toiletries. The hotel had a large carpark and we were able to leave our cars even after we had checked out. The hotel is right on the river with bars, shops and restaurants within a few minutes walk. There is a river walk which leads to neighbouring villages. The scenery is beautiful. Breakfast was made to order for hot food. There was fruit, yoghuts and cereal available to self serve as well as tea, coffee and juice.

Situated 20 miles from London, on the River Thames, Mercure London Staines-upon-Thames Hotel offers limited parking and some riverside rooms.

We arrived early, but they checked is in straight away - even upgraded our room. The staff everywhere in the hotel were so friendly and efficient. We ate in the bar/restaurant - the food was great. The room was good - great view of the aircraft. Staff booked a driver to take us to the airport - he arrived on time and was also great.
