Kuda Laut Boutique Dive Resort, hotel in Bunaken

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and a private beach area, Kuda Laut Boutique Dove Resort is set in Siladen Island in the Bunaken Islands, North Sulawesi Region. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar.

This is my second stay at Kuda Laut; I spent 8 days last year and decided to return for more diving and underwater photography for 9 days. I enjoyed again both the hotel facilities and the Bunaken reef and wall dives. The dive boats are well equipped and the dive guides well trained and safety conscious. My special thanks to Luther, my guide in 14 dives, and to the very friendly personnel of the resort. The only negative thing is the many hours of flight from New. York. I hope to return again.

We booked for 6 nights and extended our stay for 9 nights as it was so good we just couldn't leave. Nona cooks the most delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is fantastic, right on the beach, see the sunrise but get the afternoon shade. They can organise all your diving or snorkeling trips, rent motorbike to see more of the island etc.

Onong Resort, hotel in Bunaken

Located in the famed diving site of Bunaken, Onong Resort offers cozy and homey beachfront accommodations featuring free WiFi access throughout the property.

Absolutely picturesque location! Snorkeling was amazing! The dolphin tour was INCREDIBLE!! We loved "flying" with the dolphins our driver sped up as soon as they were right below us, at the front of the boat. To get them to play and keep up with us! We saw a spotted ray, a lion fish and multiple turtles while snorkeling after seeing the dolphins!

We really loved this guesthouse. It is the best value for money in the island by far. Well located near Blue Shark, cheapest diving center, the rooms are comfortable, best for we are in Indonesia and great quantity, and the host are just amazing. We strongly recommend this guesthouse. 🙏 thanks for everything

The food was very good. Ferdinand was great, the ferry wasn't running so he was able to find alternative transportation back and forth so we didn't miss out on our time at Bunaken. The reef is right in front of the facility.

The Village Bunaken, hotel in Bunaken

The Village Bunaken features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Bunaken. The property provides a private beach area, as well as a restaurant and a bar.

Our family had a lovely stay at The Village Bunaken. We were tucked away in the mangroves which was perfect for reading books and relaxing. The snorkeling is awesome, and our children had a very good time learning about the aquatic ecosystem that surrounds the island. Highlights include the friendly staff, the cozy atmosphere and the afternoon tea time.

Such a great experience. The lodge is located very close to the beach where the boat drops you off. The rooms are very comfy and have AC. Be prepared for a bucket shower! Dion is very friendly and helpful, the diving is very good value and the crew are kind and very good at their jobs. The best part for us was the food!! All three meals are included and the home cooking is really incredible and delicious, they should.open a restaurant! We miss it already Overall we highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again

Island of Bunaken is very accessible on a short boat ride from Manado harbor. The island itself is very quiet, almost boring if you come looking for lively nightlife or bars & restaurants. The main attraction are the coral reefs, still relatively pristine with its marine life ecosystem ... let's hope that it can continue to stay that way.

The island is very beautiful, a place from which to go diving and snorkling. There is everything for everyone. Unfortunately, the plastic is at home in a national park! Tourist activity has started to destroy the coral reef in some places. In a few years Bunaken park will be only in name. It is a recommended place for those who practice diving, less a place to relax.

Dive operation Celebes Divers made me feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to assist my diving. At 78 years old and with a scuba career of nearly 50 years, Dive leader Ali and the other dive team members plus the boat crew did all they could to assist me in exiting the water, given my knee problems, by me doffing my equipment in the water, crew members lifting it up onto the deck, so I could climb aboard unencumbered. Dived an interesting Japanese freighter wreck sunk by the Americans in World War 2 and several reefs chock a block with fish & corals. Well done Celebes Divers staff!

Airport transfers must be arranged through the resort.

Airport transfers must be arranged through the resort. Don't even attempt to do this yourself. You have to love swimming, snorkelling and or diving to make the most of your stay. The resort is in the bunaken national park - so the sites are pretty amazing. There is a spa to enjoy after the relaxing dives. Food is great so no need to drag snack along. Not mush to buy - so make sure you have the essentials! Enjoy a fab experience!

Loved Bunaken, stayed one week on either side of the island in full board resorts which was good because both sides are so different. Many good dive boats/teams and great snorkeling from the beach or go out with a dive boat. The small town deserves some time spent there and next time I'd stay in town for a few days as well.

If you are looking at Bunaken as a holiday destination you are probably already aware of what an amazing place it is for diving or snorkelling, lots of healthy coral and sea life including turtles, rays, small sharks and a never ending variety of fish. It's quite a quiet location which is perfect if you are looking for peace. Bunaken is a very small island so there isn't a town where you can go partying or anything. you are likely to spend the majority of your time in the resort although you can go and explore a little if you wish.

The room we had (sea view) was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, good mattress, lovely bathroom, nice view from the terrace. The overall atmosphere, both during the day and at night, is cozy, nested in nature. A lot of charm. Not mentioning the owner Fu who is a darling as well as the staff. Food is good and generous. Feet in the water. We are no divers but could enjoy some snorkeling from the hotel and did some kayaking as well. Super-quiet location too.

Really lovely resort grounds with both pool and beach access. We stayed in a family cottage that was really well laid out and super comfortable. Meals had a good selection of both Indonesian and western options. Staff was great throughout the stay. Our daughter had her birthday while we were there and they made her feel really special with a custom cake, live band singing happy birthday, etc.

The food was uniformly excellent with great variety and careful preparation. The managers and staff were outstanding. Diving was spectacular and the guides highly skilled. The most meaningful aspect was the attention given by the managers, Ana and Miguel and Daniel and Melania, to myself as a solo traveler. They made me feel most welcome and like a part of the team. Unforgettable.
