Loved the quaint little town and the shops, restaurants and pubs available to us. Also, the grocery store was very well stocked and the SPAR there had laundry facilities that we so badly needed to use.

Plenty of excellent restaurants in Clifden from mid-price to expensive. Great coffee and snacks available at very reasonable prices. Good shopping and excellent craft/art/souvenir shops in the town. Beautiful Church with small but sincere congregation. Lovely clean town, adequate parking available.

There is so much to see. I'm a walker and we were able to access many great walks - mountain, sea and forest walks. We had a car to get to locations. Good location for exploring Connemara. Fabulous scenery. Plenty places to eat in the evenings.

A beautiful area in the National Park.

A beautiful area in the National Park. The little town centre was quite vibrant for such a remote area and lots of independent cafes and shops It was possible to do manageable walks (even for us oldies)

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink.

Cliftden was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. There is a very well stocked supermarket in the town and the surroundings were very clean and well maintained. Getting a local taxi was a bit of a problem so we had to drive everywhere, which didn't allow us to have a drink in the town as our accommadation was about 3 miles outside the village.

I’m so thankful there was a room available! I happened to book the morning prior to my stay- I was really winging it on this trip. I love my stay at the Old Exchange. Clifden was one of my favorite stops on my vacation. Mari was great…super hospitable but not helicoptering. She has a sweet dining area that I met a few other guests in, and had some great conversation. It’s close enough to everything happening in the immediate town area…the room was quiet, comfortable, cute! 10/10 would & will stay again!

The location is on sky road and the view on the sea and the other peninsulas is fantastic, even through a window in the roof. One is at the far end of Europe. Yet the town of Clifden is 12 minutes away and it has plenty of pubs, and the festival in september. It is the optimal place to stay a few days to visit all Connemara Catriona has been very attentive to our needs , indications to find the house, breakfast, and very kind.

The hosts are very kind and welcoming. I loved the super comfortable and huge bed, and the water pressure in the shower is amazing! Great breakfast. It’s a quick walk into town. Overall this is a very cute and cozy B&B. Also, I forgot my jacket during my stay and the hosts arranged for it to be brought to me at my next hotel the following day. They really care about their guests!! Wish I could have stayed more nights.

Staff very friendly. Great location except parking can be awkward. We were lucky to get a space outside on the road which was free from 6pm to 11am. Probably the best value hotel in Clifden as it was a busy time in August. At its best when their restaurant is serving food. Was closed due to Covid restrictions. Beds very comfortable. Continental breakfast very nice.

It was a great place to stay for visiting Connemara and Clifden. It is just a few minutes' drive out of Clifden, but out in the country. There was plenty of parking and the rooms were nice and big. The breakfast was outstanding the next morning. The omelet was cooked to perfection. Overall, a great place to stay, especially if you have a car.
