Having a donkey right putside was lovely plus lots of different birds. The place was clean and functional. Very modern. Lovely scenery. Not too far from centre of Galway. Galway is a busy, vibrant city. Great place to sit outside a cafe and people watch.

If you want to experience an unforgettable stay in a real castle from 1648 you are in the right place: it still has the charm, magic and emotions of what was a castle of one of the founding families of the city of Galway. the impact is truly impressive. Of course, a guest should know well, before arriving there, what type of adventure he or she is going into. In the middle of the moor, all around lots of greenery still uncontaminated, many spaces to renovate. it is definitely an unforgettable place. is it worth it? Yes? Would I go back? Surely!!! I think it's a one of a kind place. The room was warm (heated with a roller radiator) and reasonably clean; very basic, sometimes in need of improvement... but really, for anyone who wants to live a unique experience in Ireland, I recommend it.
