This was a great place to stay. It is located just beside the Birr Castle Estate on a nice quiet street. The hosts were warm and welcoming. They gave us tips on where to eat and places to see. The accomodation was comfortable with outdoor seating in the garden. I would highly reccomend it for a lovely place to stay in Birr.

I liked Roscrea and I did not find anything negative.
I liked Roscrea and I did not find anything negative. Rackett Hall was an ideal location and great value to visit Birr Castle and heritage sights in surrounding towns. The food in Rackett hall was excellent and we did not find it necessary to eat elsewhere. There are several golf courses near at hand and Roscrea is a very welcoming club.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. Seemed very bustling in the business area, and St. Cronan's Catholic Church was beautiful! Also did some hiking at Orange Hill. Our only disappointment was the Roscrea Heritage Center, which was closed for renovation, and we had hoped to get help there with ancestor information. Despite being closed, the director and assistant were very friendly and helpful and gave us some great Roscrea history. Enjoyed our visit to Leap Castle, too.

The afternoon tea was amazing and really good value for money. Dinner was also really nice and very reasonable. Overall the food was lovely, room and hotel was very clean but the nicest part of our stay was the staff, so attentive and really friendly, from the receptionist to the servers to the cleaners they were all so nice and a credit you the hotel.
