Immersed in the Tuscan countryside and offering a restaurant specialised in local cuisine, La Romita Ospitalità Rurale Familiare is located in Montisi.
How many people can say they’ve stayed in a 15th-century convent? You can if you book Relais Chiostro di Pienza, a charming hotel set right in the heart of Pienza.

From the minute we walked in, we felt so welcome! Lovely friendly reception staff. Our room was amazing, the bed was super comfortable and plenty of space around to store luggage, clothes etc. Bathroom was huge with plenty of soft, fluffy towels and everything worked well. There is a fridge but no kettle in the room, but the staff were more than happy to give us hot water if we wanted to make our own tea or coffee. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of pastries, eggs, bread, fruit, yoghurt as well as tea and coffee.
Location was good, we found it was an easy walk up through the bush track into the old town and we even hiked down to the famous Gladiator shooting spot (not an easy hike though so be prepared). Parking available near reception.
The gardens and pool area are beautiful and well maintained with plenty of chairs to relax on.
Thank you so much for making our stay such an enjoyable one, we loved Pienza and A440

Beautiful Tuscan villa - loved the decor
Just a few steps from Pienza's historic centre and central Via Santa Caterina, Albergo Rutiliano offers paid parking and Wi-Fi. It has a garden with small summer pool, deckchairs and parasols.

The place is gorgeous, we stayed in one of the apartments spread around the property. It feels like a little village, wound together by fairy lights in the evening. All the buildings are charming, with very well kept grounds, gardens and potted plants around, great for us and our dogs to spread our legs. The apartments themselves are simple and the decoration old school, but it makes sense with the setting. Big swimming pool a big plus.
The setting is also beautiful, with walks and bike rides through the Tuscan countryside at your doorstep and easy access to cute towns. Another plus is the restaurant and its beautiful, romantic courtyard.
Staff were also lovely, patient and accommodating with our big group of 9 adults, four children and two dogs. :)
LaChiusa Tuscany is set in an ancient oil mill in the Tuscan countryside. Featuring stone walls and antique rural furniture, it enjoys lovely views of the Montepulciano landscape.

Had the room choice and the restaurant worked out, I would have given La Chiusa a "9" or even "10" rating.
Rooms vary significantly in terms of view and comfort. The rooms facing the pool are the best with an amazing view of the gardens and the beautiful Tuscan landscape beyond. The rooms facing the valley towards Montepulciano and the church (San Biagio) are good too. Less desirable are the rooms facing the parking (there is a garden between these rooms and the parking, so tey are not bad); however, the worst is the room beside the reception (No. 18). We had booked a room with a pool view, because we had been at this hotel before (a long time ago, over 20 years), and we knew that these are the nicest. We ended up in a room looking out at the valley for one night (No. 8), and the room beside the reception for the other night (No. 18). They gave us a discount, they told us that the situation arose due to an error in their booking system. The location of La Chiusa is very nice, Montefollonico is a beautiful small medieval hilltop town, the views are wonderful in this town, and there is a good restaurant beside the ancient gate (called 13 Gobbi, we ate there and it was excellent). La Chiusa's restaurant is also highly rated, but we didn't eat there (we wanted to, but in another "error" we were told they would be open, but then they weren't). Breakfast at La Chiusa is very good. Parking is free. You can walk from La Chiusa into the little town or go for a longer hike, or if you like cycling, you can pick up the "Eroica" nearby (gravel cycling on the "strada bianca") in this beautiful part of Tuscany.
Palazzo Brandano features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Petroio. The property is set 47 km from Piazza Grande, 21 km from Terme di Montepulciano and 24 km from Bagno Vignoni.
La Bandita Townhouse is set in Pienza and features free bikes, garden and terrace.

Pienza is a beautiful village, the Val d'Orcia is breathtaking. We were welcomed by Paola, who is a magnificent ambassador for the property, she really made us feel incredibly welcome. The restaurant was also excellent, we had a fantastic dinner. We came off season, (March) which added to the tranquility. I think you would come here to enjoy a quiet, peaceful retreat, and it is a nice base to explore the Tuscan wine region.
Montisi is a small beautiful village. Our apartment had excellent wi-fi coverage but wi-fi in the village is poor. Montisi has several wonderful places to eat but seating is limited. Definitely need a car to get around the area.

Village is beautiful - dating back to ancient Estruscan...
Village is beautiful - dating back to ancient Estruscan times. It's a hilltop village with incredible views of surrounding valleys. The streets are well kept and feel like a fairytale as you walk through. People are nice and friendly and it felt homely very quick with the two wine bars and small grocery shop. We loved the village.
