GORGEOUS GORGEOUS! This is the epitome of Lake Como. Their grounds are on a botanical garden with wonderful photo opportunities. The room was large with a great view of the lake. They gave us a thank you package upon checkout and booked the shuttle to the train station for us.

The location was planning perfect. Varenna is beautiful lake town with excellent views and a perfect jumping off point for the lake. Hermes was an amazing host and wonderful person. We loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Ideal location for visiting other towns on the lake, Bellagio, Menaggio & Tremenzenno all a short distance away. Ferries are frequent & very punctual. One hour train ride into Milan, not that frequent so check the times.

Don't miss Villa Monastero! Lovely gardens walking along the lakeside and tours inside were only offered on weekends. Check hours before going. A few restaurants within walking distance of the ferry. Bar Moto has spectacular views from the water.

Easy walk about town. Wear good walking shoes steps are steep and not always a handrail. Beautiful gardens and scenery. Easy hop on a ferry to go to the other towns. Hike up to the castle is 30 min. I would have felt more comfortable with a walking stick. Make sure to have water.Eva - 10Scored 10

Picturesque and just charming. Loved the waterfront, walking on the bridge, flowers, vibe and restaurants on the water. Ferry efficient and pleasant, easy to access other towns. The apartment was well equipped, clean and well styled. It was 2km out of Varenna but there was a great multi story car park on the edge of Varenna which served us well. Daniela and Marco were really helpful and we loved the boat hire they suggested - 3hours on Lake Como was a highlight!AmandaFamily with young children

This was the last 2 nights of our two week trip and it was hard to leave. Varenna is unassuming but easy to get to via train or ferry. The facilities were perfect, nice big room and bathroom, excellent shower, beautiful picturesque balcony overlooking the water. Nice breakfast with hot options too. The windows are new and well sealed to successfully block out noises from nearby ferry terminal and restaurants. Short walk from the train station, and close to all of Varenna's best sites. So to explore the Lake Como area, this is truly an ideal spot. The breakfast room is lovely and the presentation of food was more than sufficient. I loved the service each morning - very responsive and great waitstaff! The hotel itself is a beautiful structure, and very impressive as one pulls into the dock.

Some of the most helpful, warm, friendly, people I've ever met. they also have their own parking lot.
