A truly American hotel in Portugal. Tea/coffee service and mini-fridge in the room as well as free parking, sufficient linens for each guest and wash cloths. There were welcome cookies and water in the room. Bathroom was very thoughtfully redone and there were lots of electrical and charging options as well as a large window that tilted open to allow fresh air. Lots of options to control the level of lighting in all areas. Although I was not there on business this time, it would be a very comfortable room for a business traveler. Lots of seating options, large closet with iron and safe, almost no street noise when the windows are closed and sufficient space for the luggage of 2 people (but probably not 4).
Very friendly and professional staff. The other guests seemed friendly and happy to be there. If you stay in enough hotels in Europe you’ll appreciate that exchanging smiles and greetings in the hallway can be uncommon - not so at this hotel. Genuinely happy guests!
The bar/lounge area seemed popular among other guests. Lots to do in the surrounding area!

The interior design is fantastic. One of the most traveler-friendly rooms I’ve ever seen. The breakfast was amazing - tasty food served by friendly staff. The hotel was very responsive and accommodating about trying to help me fix an error on my end.

Good room and good location. Good restaurants all within walking distance.
Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto. Excellent transport - metro and 500 bus round the coast with lovely views. Transport is cheap with an Andante card that you can use on both. Handy shops and restaurants.

Super family room with child bed in slightly separate wing for privacy. This hotel was ideally situated to attend the Porto U11 International Football Tournament. It was also so close to local transport links it would enable tours of old town and new, visit port outlets etc. all very easy to accomplish.

Metro and bus into city , double decor bus best as you see right along the beach , just tap on with your bank card no faffing with validating , and just as fast , big yellow number 500 ,
The port is an interesting look around and fish market, expect it to be a bit smelly though it’s a huge working port

We loved that we did not need to rent a car (Uber was always a few minutes away). There were many activities to do: Beach, water sports, Restaurants, Casa da Guitarra Fado show, Porto & Wine Tasting. The city is walkable and full of small interesting shops and buildings. I highly recommend Bacalhau in Muro dos Bacalhoeiros 153 - 155

I would not stay in the suites again but enjoyed the locality of the old town of Matosinhos and it’s very nice beach. There is a very moving sculpture on the beach about the tragic loss of the fishing fleet and many men from the town, during a terrible storm in the last century. There are many really good traditional restaurants with delicious traditional Portuguese food, away from the beach area. The public transport is good with Metro and bus connections to central Porto. There are many beautiful art nouveau and art deco era buildings in the town.
We wanted to spend the last day of our trip to Portugal next to the ocean and we got that. The balcony from which you can see the ocean was a very nice thing. The bathroom was quite good. The common part of the apartments felt like the hosts just left it for you yesterday. Small but nice kitchen. Very good dining table with the option to enjoy the meal in front of TV set (we were too tired after Porto :D). The private parking was not maybe necessary, but still a nice feature - you can literally put suitcases from the car into the house.
The location was truly perfect.
10 min from the beach. 20 min to Porto with Bus 500 (one way Ticket 2€) So many nice Cafés and Restaurants nearby. The personal was nice and the breakfast had enough to not feel hungry for a couple of hours. I fell in love with Matosinhos, so whenever I come back I’ll definitely try to get a room in this Hotel again.
the location was great, Matosinhos was such a foodie area, felt very authentic with lots of restaurants, bars etc
the room was large and we also had a balconies which was great
also if you need to get to the airport, a taxi was only about 15€, whereas a transfer from the hotel was €25 per person
good communication ahead of time about keyless entry and how to access rooms. very comfortable beds and pillows. good lighting design. small details taken care of - eg fresh filtered water in glass bottle. love the view of the working docks, the ocean and Matosinhos seafront.
The staff was amazing. The location on the metro line and the amazing fish restaurants in the area. A light walkable distance to the perfect Matosinhos beach. Would recommend this hotel as a perfect base to explore Porto instead of overpriced options in the city.
Perfect contact via email, everything was clear from the messages after booking the apartment. Apartment was as described - big, clean and warm. Location was perfect, lot of nice restaurants, bars and shops nearby. 5 minutes walk from the Matosinhos Beach.
We enjoyed the size of the apartment and how it was furnished. Since this is a family home, you could experience how living as a local would feel. We missed the place as soon as we left for Porto city center after a six night stay in Matosinhos.
Coming from NYC, in my opinion, hotel was great value for money. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe with the sounds of family and children downstairs. Ensuite room was totally acceptable and quiet. Nice low key start to my Camino.
Room was large and clean with a balcony view of ocean. I’m walking the Camino and the hotel is across the street from the path. Good restaurant steps away. Owner of hotel was SUPER NICE. I sat on the beach and watched the sunset.
Harbour Inn Design Townhouse was a perfect location -- steps away from the Matosinhos beach, steps away from the best seafood restaurants in Porto. However, what really made our stay was the exceptional service from Paula and team.
small boutique/design hotel close to Matosinhos beach (surf spot) / near the fish market and excellent fish reasturants / short walk to the tram to Porto centre
polite host, rich breakfast, comfy "sleeping on the beach" room
The room was very clean and just like the pictures. They have some snacks waiting for you which was greatly appreciated. A few restaurants near by and a lot more within a 10 minute walk. Check in was super easy.
The location is near to the Porto International Airport and as far as I know this is only the best hotel nearby. Breakfast is awesome one as always provided by B&B Porto.
Compact, well designed ground floor flat. Comfortable bed and great shower. Well located for exploring Matosinhos and Porto. Lovely owner met and let us in.
