Very friendly staff and warm welcome. Small and personal hostel which uses a good key system. Cozy common area. Everything practical and uncomplicated. Got even a bottom bunk bed reserved. Thank you so much! This is not the case in most hostels around the area. :)

We loved everything about the accomdation was luxurious with a keen eye to detail in everytouch.
Breakfast was divine served beautifully served in a stunning setting.
The local taxi man was really helpful and friendly, super efficient.
We would highly recommend it, but for walkers, book a taxi from the town!

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.
Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail".
I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

It is isolated but still very near the incredible beaches of the Costa Alentejana and other facilities.
The staff was very nice, not intrusive at all and very respectful of our privacy (they even checked the best hour to clean the apartment). They brought fresh bread every morning, very much appreciated.
It was very clean and well decorated, and had everything we needed.
Very quiet and peaceful location in a beautiful region. It is perfect to spend some relaxing days.
Very neat and clean. Very personal approach (I got a little tour of the nearby cliffs and some roasted chestnuts, who knows what you'll get if you're polite with the owner?). Washing machine and tumbler dryer available which is super useful after a few days of hiking. Got a heater in the private room. PROPER BATH TUB (shared of course). Nice and clean shared kitchen with a variety of pots/pans. Also got a glass of local wine to try - very tasty.
An exceptional countryside hotel in a beautiful location, close to the sea. Our room was in a typical Alentejo cottage situated a short distance from the main building. It included a convenient kitchenette. Well decorated and very clean. The service was very good indeed. Very tasty, generous-sized and reasonably priced meals of fine local Alentejo food were served in the restaurant. Breakfasts were good.
Amazing little hostel in the middle of Zambujeira do Mar. The rooms were very tidy and have a feeling of albergue as it serves the Route on Costa Vicentina. The mattresses were some of the most comfortable we had all week. The staff was super useful and gave us a very nice intro to everything. We had a lounge and a kitchen available and they even have a bit of wine for the guests.
Lovely stay in Zambujeira do Mar, two minutes walk from the town center and the amazing cliffs. The place is quiet, comfortable, and clean. The staff is welcoming and well prepared. We were surprised by the breakfast, very rich and different. This location is perfect if you want to relax or reach any point down the southwest coast of Portugal.
Very clean; nice to have toiletries provided; outside window; really nice big shared terrace with loungers, small tables/chairs for two, and a nice sofa/chair sitting area. The shared kitchen was small but had everything we needed including complimentary coffee. good location near the centre of town.
The room and facility were clean and tidy. The location is great, right off the Fishermen's Trail and close to restaurants and shops. We stayed for one night during a hike on the Fishermen's Trail and it provided a nice rest stop. The breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.
The room was simple but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was glorious! It may have been one of the best I experienced on my trip. The staffers there were very accommodating, too. It is a small community with a fantastic beach and lots of restaurants.
it is a wonderful oasis couple of km off the Fishermen’s trail and Zambujeira do Mar (but there is a taxi service), nice place to relax. The wonderful lady Carmo takes care of the property and guests (and spoiled us every morning with some extra treats).
It is located just off the Fishermen’s Trail and good location if stuck for accommodation in Zambujeira do Mar. Facility was still not fully operational for the season so the reception lady kindly made me an omelette for dinner.
The hotel is well located but you need a car to move around. The room had what you need, bed, bathroom, mini fridge and kettle. The personal was very friendly and attentive. One of the best breakfast that I had in Portugal.
Quaint apartment, amazing location overlooking the beach and sunset, rooftop patio to enjoy meals/drinks. The hosts were available for questions and very reassuring and helpful in returning my lost pair of glasses!
Spacious room, spotless clean and very tastefully decorated, with a beautiful view of the ocean. Breakfast was superb. Owner is a very nice and sweet lady who put her heart and soul into this hotel.
This place is quiet and totally beautiful. Staff were lovely and the swallows circling over the river in the morning were not to be missed. Also very close to beautiful beaches.
