We loved Bodrum. It had everything we wanted/needed. Sunshine, beaches, clear blue water, markets, history, excursions, great food and lovely people. It is a little more expensive than I thought it would be for food and drinks etc. but still had the best holiday. Some recommendations- Fast rent a moped for moped rental were great. Easy and no deposit required. Lovely little bar was kaya garden bar Cute local Turkish restaurant- Nazik Ana

Beutiful city, full of life and beutiful shops, restaurants, bars and the walk on the seafront, especially at night is amazing. People are very friendly and they make sure you have a great time. the food is fresh and tasty, just you need to make sure you check the prices first as some places are a bit expensive.

Very lively city by sea with lovely private beaches and boat trips galore on offer. Abundance of shops selling mostly designer copies but be wary: shops in Gumbet centre are cheaper whereas shops in Bodrum centre are much dearer but so is the quality of products much more improved. Seafood is widely available here so enjoy it fresh. The breakfast was perfect from my perspective - exactly what you want from a Turkish breakfast. The rooms and in particular the terrace upstairs have wonderful views and there is easy access to local bars, restaurants etc. There are a couple of bars on the beach just metres up the road. Bodrum in January is a nice place to be -not too crowded but there is still quite a lot of nightlife and many restaurants/bars are open.
