I came for the sculptures, to take photos. I was very surprised at how good the small local eateries were. The small mexican resturant in the back of the mall was as good as any I have been to and Carlees Club sandwich was fantastic. Only thing I found annoying was when going out to photo at night was the amount of mosquitos. Too many to actually stay out and do anything.

Small desert town perfectly situated as a jumping off point to explore the desert trails. Five minutes are so to Palm Oasis Trail, which is excellent. A few decent enough restaurants and super markets.

I was there one day and could have spent 2-3 days, but not much longer. March Equinox time of year. Wildflowers beautiful, weather pleasant. The views of the mountains were gorgeous and the night sky spectacular. The sculptures scattered about are a definite must see. Internet spotty, at least with my carrier.

Borrego Springs is a small town with great night views of the sky and day views of the mountains and desert and, during the season, wild flowers. In season can be very crowded. While there are a number of accommodations, it has avoided the "wall of hotels" that tend to spring up in tourist areas. It's also fairly close to Julian, Lake Cuyamaca and Laguna Mountain, taking well-maintained mountain/country roads. It can get very hot during the day from March through October. The night sky is amazing and you can even see the edge of the Milky Way when it's clear - and it usually is at night.

The resort is a lovely, well constructed and furnished establishment in the peaceful desert community of Borrego Springs. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped, and the unit quite spacious. The pool and hot tub were very close. The restaurant served a variety of well prepared meals. On weekend nights there is a piano player, a nice touch. The beautiful desert surrounds.

We stayed in Borrego Springs for a weekend, which was a reasonable amount of time, but I could have easily stayed a couple more days. This place is a true gem that you don't want to miss. It's small, quiet, has lots to see, and I love that it never felt crowded.
Best places to eat: Red Ocotillo, Carlee's, Big Horn Burgers and Shakes, and The Propeller Bar and Grill (check for pop-up events with live bands and catering).
Awesome things to do: Galleta Meadows sculptures (a must), hike The Slot, see wildflowers in the spring, and stargaze on clear nights.

Explore guest reviews of hotels in Borrego Springs
We have stayed at the hotel before in 2019 and it was just as good as we remembered it. The location close to Borrego Springs is great. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the grounds are really nice too. There are two large swimming pools to choose from and a large spa pool too. The Arches restaurant is good too. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially Noe in the Arches who deserved a medal for singlehandedly working the bar and serving meals to our party of 14 bikers !.
This resort surprised us with the excellent rooms, delicious food, as well as friendly and helpful staff. To be honest, we had not really known what to expect but the resort excelled in every way. This was mid August, so the place was fairly empty, but we love the desert heat and Borrego Springs is a fantastic place to get away from it all (and the opposite of places like Palm Springs!). The town/valley is slightly quirky and has an undefinable charm. We certainly hope to come back for longer.
For a Family vacation with 9 people ranging in age from 5 to 78, this property was ideal. Plenty of space, a wonderful front deck to sip coffee and view the mountains in the morning and a great garage with pool table and ping pong table for family competition. The outdoor areas are wonderful. Be aware this is a well lived in house, not a perfect sterile resort setting. We would all chose to stay here again if we come back to Borrego Springs.
This is an extremely comfortable and perfectly located hotel complex, with a great deal of character. The pools are lovely (particularly as it was very quiet during our stay), the restaurant convenient and the food (burgers) good – we were able to sit outside with heaters which we really appreciated. Just on the edge of the park, and also close to restaurants in town.
This boutique property was immaculate, from the pool and grounds to each hotel room. The AC worked well (important in the desert!), and the staff was super-helpful and friendly. The modest but delicious breakfast was on time, and very nicely presented at the door with no-person contact. Thank you!
Really beautiful property and grounds. Bathroom was very nice, with separate bathtub and shower. Comfortable bed. awesome access to pool right from patio. Overall, a highly-recommended experience when in Borrego Springs. Oh, and very friendly staff to top it all off!
Very charming and comfortable suite with a patio and surprise bathroom. Very friendly hosts! Nicely landscaped grounds with access to a flat desert trail walk.
Great place to relax, or hike, or do some boutique browsing in the little town of Borrego Springs.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful! Its location is great and very convenient to go on hikes but also to get the necessities in the town. The pools are very nice and the breakfast is delivered to your room to enjoy in bed. We‘ll definitely come back!
The room was neat and tidy. Comfy bed. Good shower. Quiet location. Ideal for a short stay in Borrego Springs. Straightforward set up - got code for room door and didn't have to see anyone to check out. Just got going. Very easy.
The location is perfect if you are going to Anza Borrego State Park. It's just minutes from the visitor center.
The room has small kitchen, perfect for prepping meals or snacks. Pots, plates and utensils were provided.
The house was beautifully furnished and well-equipped, in a great location, and at about half the cost of a hotel with inferior facilities. Access was excellent for the member of our party who uses a walker.
We liked the staff. Also, our private pool and that they were willing to turn up the heat in the water, plus the comfy couch. We also had a good lunch and dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
Horrible experience I never do yelp reviews but I am here as well as sending poor reviews to rams hill as well as southern California golf assoc. Not to mention the 40 guys I golfed with
Very clean motel. Included a fridge and microwave and good coffee maker. Super location close to the Anza Borrego park and within walking distance of several restaurants.
No breakfast available at hotel. But very good breakfast options in town.Hotel was very good for the 135 Dollars per night.Parking in front of room was very comfortable.
