Didn't stay long enough (1 night), will be back in August. Parking, though not free, was reasonable. However, enjoyed the scenery of UMD campus from room. The updated technology of the lights, the toilet having it's own area with a door and light switch was a surprise.

It was reasonably priced for a great location. We were in a box truck and there was ample parking which is great in an urban setting. Very nice area with lots of breakfast places and dinner places.

We likely hit at College Park at a bad time.
We likely hit at College Park at a bad time. There was road construction just about everywhere and all parking was pay-to-park, which we don't have here. Along the road where we stayed, there are lots of restaurants and places to eat (fast food/convenience food). Access to and from the freeway is quite easy.

The location is perfect for campus visitors.
The location is perfect for campus visitors. This property really is THE Hotel to stay at when you’re coming to College Park.
Rates for this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ property fluctuate si we don’t always stay here. Lucked out this time — our rate was super affordable for Spring Break.
Try The Hall for dinner. Just a short walk behind The Hotel. And Vigilante Coffee down Baltimore Avebue is THE BEST COFFEE I’VE EVER HAD!!

It's a beautiful college town with many shops and restaurants in walking distance from the university. It was easy to get into Washington DC and to go to Baltimore from this central location. The majority of the restaurants in the area deliver to the campus and hotels either by their own delivery service or Grubhub or DoorDash so food is never an issue. Just be aware that most of the parking is on the street and limited around the university. There is good access to public transportation. Also, two restaurants to definitely keep in mind are Board and Brew on Baltimore Avenue for a quick bite. Very good food and service! They have sandwiches and serve breakfast all day. Be sure to try the Blood Orange tea! Excellent! Also, for a more hearty meal, I suggest Mamma Lucia's. Their Spaghetti and meat sauce was the best I've ever had and with their large portions, one meal could easily feed two people or give you leftovers for the next day! Both are eat in and offer delivery.

Location and the techy amenities were great!
Location and the techy amenities were great! Using the automated shades was kool. Location was great for what we needed. The lighting in the bedroom suite should be much better for reading and writing or using laptop it was not adequate at all. Having to go back and forth to use the mirror and comb hair or whatever was pretty inconvenient and should noted to make the decision to get a suite or regular room.

Variety of restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores, and shopping and highway access on the main street. The main street (can't remember the name) has a lot of bumps and potholes. Very rough riding,

When I checked in , the hotel holds my $50 US dollars for deposit which I don't know why, but the hotel did not put back to my credit card until now (9 days already). I called the hotel last Monday, I was told to wait for another 1-2 days, but now still no action . I have to call the hotel again and call my bank.
No, not good experience. and will not stay in this hotel again.
I loved everything! My stay was absolutely perfection! I would stay here again, no doubts about it! The staff was exceptional; friendly and professional- they really care about your comfort. And the rooms!? Spacious, modern but homey comfort. A little bit of everything! Breakfast was delicious! Amenities were plentiful! 10/10 stay in the College Park area for fair price! You definitely get what you pay for! 10/10!!!
Booked last minute for the Hampton Inn. Pictures were old on the website. Looked like they recently renovated the room. The hotel was 2 miles from UMD main campus- straight down Baltimore Ave. Beds were a little firm but pillows were feather soft. Nice hot waffle breakfast in the morning and coffee was good!
Front desk staff acted as if we were bothering them, breakfast was coffee and pre wrapped muffins, cleaning staff blocked hallways with carts and trash, carpets were filthy, bathtub had hairs from previous guest. Hotel has restaurant / dining area that is unused. Makes no sense for this area in particular
Hotel (and the rooms) were very clean. Place is very convenient. It has so many options in the surroundings: supermarkets, restaurants, malls, local transportation, etc! We definitely recommend it for families (with small children).
Breakfast was ok. I have seen better breakfasts in other hotels. They need to put breakfast in a larger room. No vaults or closets in the room which we were surprised at. Rest of hotel was ok
I loved the room - the technology, the space, the comfort! the hotel had breakfast and dinner restaurants inside the property so it made it easier on me to grab food. staff was amazing!
it had all the amenities in the room you would expect an upscale hotel such as the Marriott which no longer provides the amenities. And Best Western always has a good breakfast
Room smelled of mold.. the staff was friendly, the price was about average for the area but hotel was mostly empty and $90 (1 night) is a not great area, seems expensive.
check in easy. added IHG account #. room clean. bed comfortable. extra bed made. bathroom clean. exercise area and pool accessible. the whole hotel was clean.
Breakfast fell very short of expectations. There were only bagels; no healthy alternatives like fruits and hot cereals like other hotels that offer breakfast.
