the location was perfect. Easy to get around, a store, nice local bar & good restaurant across the parking lot. The property is small, but it has everything needed. Very cozy & comfortable.
The property manger was very easy to communicate with, and responded quickly.

One hour west of Shark Valley and 10 minutes from Everglades Adventures Kayak & Eco Tours. VERY friendly and helpful staff at the associated convenience/liquor store.
A reservation team is present in the hotel. We booked the 2 hour guided kayak tour where you will see gators from the kayak. Excellent for us. The person of the reservation team recommended to visit the Shark national park as well as some of the boardwalks. Excellent recommendations.
We also did the “loop road”, which runs though the cypress woods. You can see many gators from your car. Take 2-3 hours for this 24 miles road.

We enjoyed the grass and mangrove airboat rides with Captain Jacks but the best activity we enjoyed is riding along the 20 Mile loop trail and all the wonderful wildlife we saw there. Alligators were laying along the banks sunning and crossing the road in the early afternoon. There were many many beautiful birds sunning along the waterway as we drove along. It was best for wildlife viewing and taking pictures where you could literally almost reach out and touch the wildlife.
Loved seeing the huge gators and multiple bird varieties in their natural habitat. The boardwalks along the Tamiami were wonderful too. We enjoyed our stay and the local restaurants during our stay. We will try the swamp buggy tour the next time and the boat trip out to Thousand Islands where we were only there for 3 days total.

The “cabin” was actually a refurbished trailer.
The “cabin” was actually a refurbished trailer. I could feel the rotting floors underneath the vinyl flooring. The door jam and frame was loose due to rotted wood and about 1/4 inch gap was between the door and frame. Only one large cockroach was found upon waking up on the first morning.

Great for visiting the Everglades and doing some tours.
Great for visiting the Everglades and doing some tours. There is a small selection of restaurants and I would suggest that you check to see if they accept cards when you arrive to avoid any issues as the internet connections are not always great.
We found everybody friendly and helpful and would go back to visit again to do some more tours and to relax as it is really peaceful

Quaint town, quiet when we were there.
Quaint town, quiet when we were there. Lots of options for guided tours of Everglades. Everglades Area Tours are a great company to go with.
Other options include airboats and parks to enjoy nature.
If you have kayaks or a boat, the sky's the limit in terms of exploration.
Plenty places to eat out for all budgets. Island Cafe is good.

it was so nice to sit by the water. the screened in porch was lovely. so comfortable and tidy. We can’t say enough about it. The cabin was modern, spacious, clean, nicely decorated and the bed was so comfy! What a perfect little hidden gem. Every convenience was within a mile, There was a grocery store, lots of places nearby for airboat tours, fishing gear, and good food!
The staff at this hotel were helpful and kind. I had a good stay. It is conveniently located and the room is extremely spacious. I was also very pleased to have most items available in the room - almost new and full size refrigerator, microwave, large desk, great chair for writing, comfy sofa and bed. The bathroom is also spacious.
Very good on reception and the room was clean & spacious if basic. However, I did leave some property at the hotel and contacted them the same day but despite chasing them up did not even receive the courtesy of a response, so fell down massively there.
I did a round trip through Florida and stayed in different accommodations. The Cabin was the best and most comfortable accommodation. Clean, spacious and a great view of the water. I could watch the alligators splashing around.
Great lodging and convenient location. At the doors to the Everglades, Great Cypress Swamp, birding and amazing kayaking. Leave the noisy airboats behind and enjoy your stay at Ivey House and the wonders of the area.
Fantastic motel in Everglades - look like in American movies.. Check in is 2 minutes by car from the motel itself – easy to find using GPS. Rooms are very clean. Very beautiful surroundings.
we got a two bedroom suite with full kitchen. a perfect place for basecamp for a fishing trip. newly remodeled since hurricane ian. great location next to the best diner in everglades city.
Friendly staff. Location in Everglades City is fine. The "city" itself has little to offer, everyone must be aware of this when booking. There may be more interesting alternatives nearby.
The hotel room was very spacious, everything looks new. the bed was very comfortable, it is perfect stop if you do a road trip from Key West to Tampa. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Loved the small town atmosphere of Everglades City. Loved the people at Ivy House who checked us in and gave us all kinds of useful information. Also loved our kayak trip.
I really enjoyed my stay there.
The restaurants were all in walking distances, wish I could have stayed longer. Will stay at Ivey house again should the opportunity arise.
