Breakfast was good. The staff member that was taking care of Breakfast was awesome! She was very attentive and kept everything clean and stocked. Beds were really soft and room was specious.

The town itself isn't a place I intended to visit, but if you are looking for a small town alternative to expensive rooms in San Antonio, Lockhart is an option. Simply because of the location on a busy street, I will not be staying again. It was really loud. I did fine with earplugs and Benadryl, but my husband can't handle noise and felt uncomfortable about the surroundings. There were a few sirens. BBQ located next to the hotel is open late and was TERRIFIC for a 10PM bedtime snack. The town is off the beaten path for sight-seeing, but if you are on your way to Austin, it's very close to the 130 tollway that saves you a lot of time in traffic, which is bad on I-35 almost any day of the week.

We went for the Barbeque, heard Lockhart had the best BBQ in the State, possibly the country. Well let me say, we were not disappointed. We had delicious BBQ, Smitty's has the best pork chop I've ever eaten, and Chisholmes baked stuffed potato was to die for. Went to a candy shop that had candy I haven't seen since I was a child, the courthouse is beautiful, we toured an old jailhouse, which the grandchildren loved, picked up some bread and butter pickles from a vendor on the street, and the clock shop has some beautiful antique clocks and items for sale. We definitely will be back.

I did not stay at the motel the desk clerk kicked me out of the office because I had a small dog and there was a sign right there saying it was a ten dollar deposit. He ran my card for 137 dollars on a room that was supposed to be 29.36 and said my money would be back in 3 hours. It took four days and I am still being charged 29.36 which I am trying to dispute with my bank. I travel all over the world as you know. This was the worst experience I have ever had. OYO hotels should be off your list forever. They are VERY dishonest. Thank you.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Copper Cottage! I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the perfect spot for any Austinite looking for a relaxing staycation. Besides the cozy beds and immaculate vibes my favorite part about the home is that you can shop their amazing collection of vintage finds!!! How cool is that?! It’s in a prime location to explore all adorable Lockhart has to offer. I’m already scheming up a girls’ weekend so I can stay here again! :)
I do not like the fact that they took my money off my card and when I got to the room they would not honor the reservation you guys really need to look into this it is nothing but robbery do not use this hotel for anyting
This was the only pet friendly motel in Lockhart. The location was good. There were convenient stores nearby as well as Wal Mart. The restaurant next to the motel had decent food.
It was a clean and neat hotel. Loved the small town. Beautiful friendly people. Love Smitty's barbecue awesome. The nicest people who work there. A wonderful American city.
The hotel was very easy to find. The staff was very friendly, helpful & accommodating. The location was perfect just minutes away from shops & restaurants.
