The Sea Breeze Inn, hotel in Middletown

The Sea Breeze Inn is located in Middletown, 3.4 km from Whitehall Museum House. Free private parking is available on site. Easton's Beach is 645 metres from the property and Newport is 3.8 km away.

What did we like? We loved, loved, loved the location! The Sea Breeze Inn is close enough to downtown Newport's shops and eats to get there conveniently, and yet it is far enough away from all that traffic and congestion so you can relax and enjoy some solitude. We also liked the fact that the windows in our room actually worked as windows are supposed to, letting in those great ocean breezes, and letting us breathe fresh air. We also liked the cooked to order breakfasts each morning.

Wyndham Newport Hotel, hotel in Middletown

This Rhode Island hotel, located 1.8 km from Easton’s Beach, sits on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. A local shuttle to downtown Newport is available at a surcharge.

Extremely comfortable bed, good clean facilities, very friendly and accommodating staff. The inclusion of a frequent shuttlebus to downtown is a big bonus, negating any consideration for finding a parking spot. I would suggest this could possibly be slightly improved with a drop-off / pick-up by the cliff walk.

Stayed in Middletown to be close to Newport. It was the perfect distance away from the center of Newport. Middletown seemed to be more of a residential area and we didn't spend much time there, except to stay at the Inn.

Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was adequate and as represented. Shower could have been better. Door lock inoperable on last day. Needed new batteries. Excellent price. Good location. Overall, for a short stay in a high cost area, it was acceptable.

Family friendly. Proximity to everything Newport has to offer! You can walk to Easton Beach! Shuttle service available with resort free but parking was easy to find in most of Newport since we had our small babies with us. Hotel staff is informative and kind. It was impeccable service from the cleanliness of rooms, hotel, and dinning areas indoor and outdoor, and grounds are beautiful. We look forward to our next stay.

The room was great! It was quaint, clean, cozy, and comfortable. The view was wonderful. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. While the hotel is not in Newport, it is literally just outside of the border. The hustle and bustle of Newport was close but not too close. For me, that made the location perfect. The staff was wonderful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful ambiance to the hotel. Our room was large and airy, very spacious with a comfortable eating area. Large bathroom. Nice living room-dining for breakfast or sitting, plus an outside veranda out back for relaxing. Lots of parking, easy drive to all sights. Breakfast was a "continental", but did include breakfast sandwiches, granola bars, fruit & juices.
