I love the ambiance of the hotel. It was central to a lot of restaurants, and the back of the hotel with the firepit was to die for.

There was a small fridge, Kcup coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. There was no breakfast but I made our own using what was there and food I brought.
The front porch was perfect and we had coffee out there both days.

The bedrooms were comfortable and the house well equipped. It was a close drive to campus.

I love that Ruston is kind of small and that it is basically a college town. I love that the businesses and the people support and assist the students from LaTech. We were there to take senior pictures before my daughter and her boyfriend graduate in May. Ruston has tons of awesome looking murals to take pictures in front of as well as several bulldog statues that have been painted or decorated in some way. Each one is unique and artistically decorated by students from LaTech. Downtown is within walking distance of the college. Ruston is designed in a block format, so it is fairly easy to get around, just watch the one ways. It also has plenty of eating places to choose from, and it is only 30 minutes down the road Monroe.

I was only in Ruston to get my granddaughter settled in her dorm at college. To that end it was a success. I like the feel and overall atmosphere of the town and were I younger could actually see myself living here. Getting around was very easy using my 5 year old car's GPS. Didn't particularly like the distance I had to travel for some of my favorite department stores (Target) and the airport but I could get used to it if I had to. The only other thing I really didn't like is how early some services shut down ie Walmart/Walmart gas station and some eateries.

There's Louisiana Tech.
There's Louisiana Tech. There aren't any main stores for shopping. We tried to find a neck tie for my son's graduation and went to 6 stores and couldn't find a single store that had a selection of ties! The only nice thing was a little coffee shop 2 miles from the hotel. There was one very nice Restaurant we went to Beau Vines. We had dinner for my son's graduation there. Very nice atmosphere and food was excellent.

Moved my child to LA Tech.
Moved my child to LA Tech. The city and college are still recovering from tornado in the spring. Love the downtown area. Several restaurants that are family friendly. Local Walmart is prepared for college students.
Everything was awesome.
I wish i could remember the blond lady who did the breakfast when I was there, oooo so sweet and friendly. Went out of her way to help us! Everything was hot and fresh too! Not dried out
Front staff answered all my questions! Lead housekeeper was there at 9 oclock one night. Thats very dedicated.
If I come back to Ruston, I will definitely stay with you again.
Conveniently located close to campus and the city of Ruston unit was clean ideal accommodations. Unit was nicely appointed with all kitchen needs for cooking, washer and dryer was extremely beneficial. I'd gladly book the unit again when visiting the area.
I was there so my son could attend summer band camp at Grambling University, so the location of this hotel was perfect. It’s only about a 10 min drive to the campus whether I hop on I20 west or take the back road.
Location was great. Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly during our late check-in.
