The owners went over and beyond to make our stay as memorable as possible. There are so many touches, from the candy by the bed, to a refrigerator stocked with choices to help quench your thirst when you arrive. There were snacks in a goody basket, beautiful robes to slide into after a soak in the beautiful cottage claw tub. Robin helped me tailor a romantic dessert for two after an evening out. Breakfast was amazing and acommodating to my food allergies. They took time out from their busy morning in the kitchen to answer my husband's relentless questions about the history behind the Inn. I could not have asked for a nicer Mother's Day. There are no comparisons between Rose Hill Inn and a night in a hotel. My one regret is not having longer to stay. Work calls.

Our hosts Glenda and Herb were very sweet and welcoming, which made our stay fabulous. Their home, our room, and the property were wonderful. We sat out on the balcony outside of our room the evening we arrived and it was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. We enjoyed hearing and seeing the birds. Also, our drive to the property was peaceful and beautiful with views of horse farms. We would definitely stay there again. Our only downfall was we were not able to stay for breakfast as we had to leave very early to visit family. However, we have no doubt from other review and photos, that we would have loved breakfast.

The breakfast each morning was wonderful. Pam is a great host. It was so close to stores and the person we were visiting.
Also not far from a lot of great site seeing places

The night desk attendant was not at the desk for at least 20 minutes when we arrived for check in. He did his job once he showed up but very unprofessional

Cute town. We stayed there when we went to Lexington for a concert. It was a nice spot for a romantic get away. Beautiful scenery, lovely little downtown shops, and close enough to Lexington for the stadium concert that we were attending.

We loved staying in Versailles.
We loved staying in Versailles. The town was charming and we ate at local restaurants that did not disappoint! Ate lunch at Ricardo's Grill & Pub and dinner at Melissa Cottage Café. Would recommend these restaurants. Melissa Cottage Café has great southern food and reasonably priced.

Versailles is a quaint, historic town. We chose to stay there overnight because of Charred Oaks Inn, an excellent B & B in town. From there, we were only a short drive to other area attractions.

It was a quaint town with so many beautiful “farms” (actually horse ranches) just outside the city limits. It was also the perfect spot to visit your favorite distillary, Woodford Reserve, Makers Mark, and many others.
Don’t make the mistake of pronouncing Versailles like the French do if you have been to Versailles, France. In Kentucky it is pronounced Ver-Sails!
