Absolutely beautiful scenic view and enjoys the local surf community. It felt like glamping for surfers the hotel had the relaxed feel of a beach holiday but in boho elegance and chic! It was heavenly!

Sadly, the coast is ruined by the stench of decaying kelp – it is absolutely overwhelming! On the positive side, though, watching the sunset across the sea was lovely. The restaurants give generous portions and are not at all overpriced such as in and around Cape Town. The Scone Shack (Scarborough) and Imhoff Farm (Kommetjie) are musts to add to your itenary and the restaurants (takeaways and sit-down) serve delicious food! Although we live in Somerset West, Kommetjie has never been on our 'stay over' list. But needing somewhere relatively close to CT (for the 'workers'), surfing (for the visitor) and not a long drive (for the parents). A large family home with sufficient space and sleeping for four adults was the main criterion. The Aloha setting looked idea without breaking the bank. As it turned out an ideal choice.
