The room decor was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. The shower space was huge, and the water was hot. The hotel offered free coffee, tea and delicious homemade lemonade all day. If breakfast was included in the room price (ours wasnt), you also had wine and cheese offered in the afternoon. The croissant at breakfast was delicious. The hotel had umbrellas to use. The staff gave an introduction upon check in and had a map of important places and restaurant suggestions.

Amazing and modern city. One of the two real cities in Bulgaria (Burgas and Plovdiv). Plovdiv is must to visit in your live, as much as Athens, but is much more beautifull and full with atractions, concerts and art activities, with nice places to go and amazing coffees and restaurants.

Plovdiv has so much to offer, great bars and restaurants and of course it is stepped in history for thousands of years. The town has a fantastic atmosphere and it’s it so easy to move around as such a small city, you can easily be having lunch in old town and then taking coffe in a fashionable shop. Having breakfast in an amphitheater was just amazing. The Roman history is stunning as is the more recent…. Makes Sofia look dull

Interesting to see the Old Town and new town of Plovdiv.
Interesting to see the Old Town and new town of Plovdiv. Definitely need to make use of a walking tour to hear about the history etc especially the Ancient Stadium of Philipopolis which runs under the H & M store! We used Plovdiv Trips for two tours out of the City which was well worth it. Karmen and Stoyan were both excellent and knowledgeable guides. Plenty of good eating places and friendly

Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries.
Plovdiv is a city of contrasts, spanning many centuries. You can't help but stumble across history wherever you go. The centre is largely pedestrianised, making it easy to walk around, with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants, as well as shops.
Highly recommend the the Free Plovdiv walking tour which starts every day at 11am from outside the town hall in the centre. Very informative and takes you to all the key locations, giving you a great starting point from which to explore further. Check out the Kapana area for food & drink and the Old Town.
The location was great, close to the centre and near all the tourist sites of Plovdiv. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, and the decor was very nice and modern. Our room was great, with comfy beds and a nice sofa to sit on and a lovely modern bathroom. Breakfast was very nice, all hot and fresh and the restaurant was beautifully decorated as well. The staff were very welcoming and super helpful, to non-Bulgarian travellers they helped with parking and what to do and see in the area which was very helpful. We would love to stay again!
Plenty of parking was available right outside the hotel on the street, for no charge.
The staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful, (this seems to be a thing in Bulgaria, as all the staff in all the hotels we visited were excellent).
Our room was very large.
The funky decor all over the hotel, including the bedrooms, was a refreshing change to the more usual reserved hotel style.
I liked the shower (powerful and hot), and the bed was the best on our trip - very large and extremely comfortable.
Very beautiful hotel right in the city center of Plovdiv.
- Hotel rooms are all what you need. Very beautifully decorated with all the luxury and amenities you might want
- Friendliness of staff is beyond expectation. All very friendly, accommodating, helpful,...
- Location of the hotel is superb. Right in the old city center, close to everything.
- Parking is a big plus. You just have to give your license plate and they give you a pass so you can enter the old town and park close by the hotel.
Really great hotel, excellent location with lovely view of Maritsa River. Rooms are freshly refurbished, modern, bright and cozy. Lovely bathroom. Good heating system (our visit was in January). Old Town is just across the river. Free and secure parking. Great pool. Staff is extremely friendly, kind, professional and helpful, very nice people. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful.
We were more than happy here and we would certainly stay in Grand Hotel Plovdiv again anytime.
Everything was very nice, they looked at the little things like a welcome not with little cakes, I said I was coming withmy dog so room was prepared with dog bed and water bowl, had a complimenty water.... . Room was very nice and grounds were very nice. Breakfast was very nice with fresh omelet cook there. Will be staying again when I go to Plovdiv. Staff were very nice, freindly and ready to help. Am a USA expat and this is the nices hotel I have stayed at in Bulgaria.
Check in was really easy - we arrived after hours and were given great instructions to get to our room. Free street parking was a nice bonus. To enter the old town, we had to give the make/model and license plate information of our car to the owner who sent it to the security booth to access the old town area. The location is perfect for exploring Plovdiv and it was really nice being in a historical house. The included breakfast was great and served with a smile!
The location of the hotel is right in the heart of the old city which makes it really nice if you do not want to spend time walking to much to find the old town, and also the area is quite silent in terms of traffic.
The receptionist was super friendly waiting for us with lemonade and water, also offering local wine and cheese as amenities.
The whole hotel is decorated keeping the old Bulgarian motives and gives you a nice view in to the history times.
Amazing location, right on one of the main squares and 10 min walk to Kopana and Old town. We were worried about the potential noise coming form the street, but the noise isolation is superb with great windows. The bed was very comfortable and the design of the hotel is quite interesting. It was a great stay. Hotel also helped with the parking.
The Grand Hotel Plovdiv is a great place to spend a weekend or for a business trip. The staff is very helpful. The accommodations are excellent. Large, clean well-organized rooms and a huge lobby for reading or working. It's located just 10 minutes on foot from the Kapana quarter of the city. You're close by but without the noise at night.
Hotel Odeon provided excellent value! The cost was more than reasonable; our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, and attractive; breakfast was plentiful; the wifi worked well. The location of the hotel provides good access by foot to points of interest in Plovdiv, and as a bonus, the hotel overlooks ancient ruins.
Great location - not far from the Old town and city park, 5 min. to the nearest Mall and a big Sport hall right next to the hotel. The room was fantastic, big and cozy furnished, big bed and a bathtube, with panoramic view. I liked the underground free parking - it`s very useful especially when it`s raining/snowing!
The overall experience meets the expectations for a 4-star hotel. Clean, fresh and big rooms, nice furniture, luxury bathrooms with fancy tiles and music in the ceiling. Awesome view towards the water. Nice breakfast in a spacious restaurant which was never overcrowded during my stay. Free parking
A pet friendly hotel that offered a Room that was very clean , modern and to a high standard. Location was excellent and couldn’t be better for visit to central district and old town. Parking is limited but staff was very helpful when a parking space became available.
The staff is very friendly, polite and ready to help.

If you want to park in front of the hotel, you need to pay the parking via SMS (if you have a bulgarian number) or from machine, which is not so near.
Very new and comfortable and large rooms. Like 5 star boutique hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. In the heart of Old Plovdiv. You can park fron of hotel in Blue Zone by 2 Levs per hour.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is very good. Our room was clean and comfortable. We recommend the hotel as a good starting point to visit the ancient and beautiful city of Plovdiv.
Very close to old town. Clean and nice. Car parking safe for a low price. They also let us to leave our car after we check out. I would definetely stay there next time in Plovdiv.
The size of the room and the cleanliness. The hotel was in a quiet area in the center and very close to the old town. They provide parking for our car. Highly recommended.
It’s a fantastic combination of traditional historic building and modern comfort of the 5 star hotel. Lots of attention to the details.
